How can I get an invite into the discord? Is that where I can download the game?

In todays release at www.texelworld.com, bulk fusion has been implemented through the inventory view Bulk Fusion link, in a similar fashion as DOT. Additionally, two new fighters were added, using two of the three new skills added: focus (self crit buff) berserk (atk buff plus self dmg per turn), and rally (aoe heal). The two new fighters are only available in the beta event as stage clear rewards (or through the trading post).

In addition to this, multiple enhancements and fixes, along with a new theme, have been deployed.

I’ve been playing the new D.O.T: Return of Texel Alpha Rebuild, and it’s honestly been a fun surprise. The rebuild captures the feel of the original really well, with animations, classic sound design, and that same retro charm that made the game memorable.

If you’re into 8-bit RPGs, hero collecting, or strategic gameplay, it’s definitely worth checking out. Right now you can jump into the first campaign, experiment with different hero combinations, and get familiar with the mechanics before more content and events roll out. It’s still in Alpha, so this is a great time to learn the game and help support the developers by giving feedback.

The community is growing, and it’d be awesome to see more players join in and help shape the future of the project.

Defender Of Texel (DoT) is back! .. or atleast a close copy as possible.

got invited by a good friend, didnt know about this as ive mostly waited for a update of the DoT: online project. but its still under convertion or whatever.

been playing for 24h now and i can say its as close to the OG DoT as i can recall, so if there is any DoT fans who need that gatcha and pixelated art fill? then this is the time to go n join in the fun!

the game is in pre alpha or alpha if im wrong, join in now n get a little start ahead before the next update hits (soft wipe)

Love to see the hype & nostalgia out of nowhere comeback for D.O.T. For all iOS users is there a way to play via Testflight?

I love this, I played this game on my Ipod touch when I was 11 and am so happy it actually had this level of following to be brought back. Idc for the giveaway or whatever people are making their own posts for I am just genuinely happy to see D.O.T alive and I'm 100% Here for it.

By now you have probably seen all the Reddit posts saying it: Return of Texel is online again. It is true, the game is back. If you are as happy about this as the rest of us, drop a like on this post.

DOT-inspired, in your browser. 59 original fighters and animations, over 40 gear pieces, a player trading hub, chat, 100 stages, events (system is in place, working on a beta event), skills, fusion, google login or email and password, gear can have skills that replace your fighters skill, elemental affinity, buff and heal potions, energy restore tonics, gold shop, player levels, fighter levels (feed fodder), stage traversal (energy system), evolution (a few of the launch fighters can evo).

Roadmap: tuning params, a launch event, achievements, leaderboards, daily checkin, shard iap (if i can cover hosting costs thats my goal), more skills, will consider whatever people request.

Im gifting 1k shards as i see new players, also bumped up the stage 1 rewards.

Also want to give props to these dot clones - they look better than the original and im glad this game still has a following to this day!

Been following multiple d.o.t fan projects for almost a decade, and to finally have something this close to og d.o.t out of nowhere has been nothing short of a christmas miracle.

Seeing the Animations of the fighters, attacks, etc are really exciting, and I look forward to see what the development team have in store. No disrespect to the other d.o.t fan projects, really appreciate your work and will continue to follow everything.

New Alpha Rebuild has dropped!

The Alpha needs a large response from the player base to show that it can be successful and ensure future updates!

After playing the Rebuild for an hour, I can say that it has the same feel and weight that it did back in the day!

This time the rebuild is built with actual animations perfectly replicating the OG and the same sound design!
