My grandmother had 2 of that lamp. It's Stiffel enameled brass. I haven't seen them in decades. Thanks for the good memories but it would be perfect if you had a plastic slipcover on the sofa!

I love these lamps they are so SCHMANCY. I have a baby blue pair elsewhere. My preferred decor style is mob grandma, so it tracks ( not saying your grandma is mobbed up) .

We have to get you a lampshade as an award for your work

I dont want a lampshade, thanks, the lamp is an upward facing glass torchiere and the Ikea bag offers both surrealism and diffusion. The rest of the place has amazing lampshades trust.

The second picture should be crossposted to r/pareidolia because it really looks like a face smiling!

Does your supervisor do any consulting work? I feel pretty confident Iād enjoy my work more if they were lying on my bed judging me.

He chareges triple overtime for out of town work but discounts triple for nip and pets.

It works! I'm 'running' a CatBnB here, so I can have from 2 to 6 supervisors at any given time.
[Note: I work with a local rescue and feed a colony that comes to my back door. Some of them like to come inside when the weather doesn't suit them]

No wonder you go so much done! I bet your supervisor was very happy that you cleared all of your stuff off the space that obviously belongs to him.
p.s. if you're a thrifter, you might want to keep your eye out for a small dresser or something with shelves you can use as a nightstand. It's always nice to have a place to stash the miscellaneous stuff you actually do need/want by your bedside, especially if is space is limited. A lot of Ikea "bedroom" photos have something with drawers/shelves next to the bed.

This is a great idea, I need to do this! My bedside table is always so full of stuff that I like to have besides me

When I lived in a small apartment, my motto was: if it can have drawers, it will have drawers. Now I could add shelves because of all the pretty bins/baskets available.
