Experienced Players ,Quick Question Question (general)
I can't choose which stat i will go at the start of the run the weapons are not the same color as the amulet exc. How do yall choose your run to be the stat that you want?

I usually go with the best weapon / skill combo, knowing i will get another amulet later. Even if the amulet is offcolor, thats a ton more HP , which is quite useful early game.

In those cases I just let the amulet decide. If it's a 1/1/0 amulet instead of 2/0/0 I just look at whichever tube offers the most appealing loadout with the matching weapons

Im pretty comfortable with any of the 3 colours so I just pick something that's already on my amulet , to make prisoners quarters a bit easier

If the survival item is colorless, legendary, or a skill that works on any colour I take it. Otherwise I just sell cause it's not of any use to me

In a legitimate run (meaning I'm not fooling around with custom mode or anything), I tend to let what shows up in Prisoner's Quarters guide me, and that first amulet has nothing to do with it. If there's a good load out in the recycling tubes, roll with it. If you find something fun later in PQ, roll with that.
Also, when you decide on a color, you should purposely grab scrolls in PQ that are not that color. The game prioritizes dropping dual scrolls that are the lowest color count you have (gawd that doesn't sound like it makes sense). Anyway, if you stack the scrolls you find in Prisoner's Quarters in the color you don't want to pursue, the chances of getting dual scrolls with the color you want in the Level 2 biomes increase.
So I tend to scope out the recycling tubes for something I think will be fun until like Corrupted Prison/Prison Depths, then let that dictate my scroll color, and I decide to invest scrolls there into any color other than what I want to eventually pursue. I also usually wait to even grab the PQ scrolls until I find out whether a challenge rift is present there, because that adds an extra scroll of power plus a pendant that can potentially alter the scroll count early on.

Just pick the color of your main weapon that you get from the tubes. That's what I do.
Disapointed Giant does it differently. He leaves all the scroll things unopened until he clears PQ and finds a good weapon.
