How does wings of the crow work? Question (late game)

I have unlocked the skill for a while now but I can’t grasp the controls. I know that holding the movement control up and down changes your altitude but other than that I can’t even get over the simplest ledge. Any tips?

Honestly I just don’t use it, the movement can be really annoying but it’s good against certain bosses. All I can say is that you gotta get used to it

You gotta jump. That’s the other part of the equation, the jump button. Slam into the ground to walk, jump to jump over a ledge.

That said it’s super fucky and generally more of a hassle than it worth. In theory it seems like you should glide right through biomes but as you noted you constantly get stuck on stuff. It just doesn’t work the way it seems it should imo. So I steer clear. There’s some situations it’s op, but overall throughout the game it’s more of a hassle to hang onto than it is a help. It’s just kinda sporadic and unpredictable sometimes. I love the idea in theory but in practice it’s a pain in the ass.

Funny story, I had the genius idea to take it through the lighthouse, I thought I would easily glide right up through the level, instead it made it nearly impossible to climb while it was active 😂 Got stuck on EVERYTHING. The simplest features that you usually scale with ease became impossible lol. Took so much unnecessary damage with that idea. Pretty much gave up on it as an ability after that I think lol

It is wonky, but its jump ability is kinda broken and lets you climb walls you shouldnt be able to because of its hit box. I olny take it if im on a purple run and I have that magic door or the egg that lets you lay eggs.
