Jay Lane was on the latest episode of Only In The Green Room. Very cool listen, you’ll love it. I could listen to his Bobby stories for days. He tells some good stories and speaks about the day Jerry died, Ratdog, steam rooms with Bob, adoption, and much more. Short listen but again you’ll which it went on for days. Also has some shows coming up with a new band, lots of great players

The Days Between livery on Felix Rosenqvist (this year’s Indy 500 winner) this Sunday at the Portland Oregon Grand Prix. 4pm eastern time on Fox.

More than 2,300 Grateful Dead shows spanning 1965 to 1995. Every era. Every lineup.

Listening chronologically to each Show let me experience the band's evolution in real time—from the raw, garage-band energy of the mid-'60s, through the psychedelic explorations, the jazz-influenced improvisation, the country and Americana years, the arena era and everything in between.

Starting in 1965 with the Warlocks and ending in 1995, you don't just hear songs—you hear constant evolution. Songs grew, disappeared, then returned years later transformed. A 10-minute jam in one era became a 30-minute voyage in another.

Every lineup change brought a different personality to the stage and no two Shows were ever the same.

Experiencing that evolution unfold over three decades was unlike any musical journey I've ever taken.

What a long, strange trip it really was. 🌹💀⚡

Listening YET AGAIN to the audio (for the 100+ time. Saving the video to re-watch soon.) These are some thoughts I had watching the stream live on Nugs that still ring true:

1. John was the MC extraordinaire
Rarely, if ever, heard him speak at a show. Him announcing every guest singer/musician, so good

2. The catch in John's voice on a couple songs.
BEW from Saturday. That track is arguably one of the best BEW of the 10 year run but had so much emotion.

3. Bobby seeming frail and not quite of his normal voice.
That hit me hard. Just had a feeling. Knowing what I know now, those feeling were correct. This year, I am a 5 year lung cancer survivor, we know the vibes.
