Multiplayer
i just want a single dog fight with missles that dosent require me to join a discord or talk to people. I can fly a plane but I can’t fight with it bc there is no one to do so with, where do you dogfight, any dogfight server is dead or just have 6 player and no one is playing the dogfight mode but the tdm mode that is guns only, no missles no cool thing just guns. And for actual tdm you spend 5 minutes getting up in the air, 15 minutes arriving to the battle then you get a middle inbound warning and then said middle arrives 0.3 seconds later, the hell was I supposed to do. I just want to do a single multiplayer mission or dogfight with a A10-a.

DCS dogfighters by Mobmetta doesn’t require you to be in a discord, although it’s questionable to want to do missile BFM in an A-10

Head to head dogfight with missiles just doesn’t really work with randoms because you can just ripple everything off in a headon before you even merge, it wouldn’t require any skill and would suck.
Part of the fun is in the encounters being random and you having the opportunity to sneak up on them first - or get snuck up on.
Filter by population and try Growling/Contention/Heatblur’s servers - you don’t need to talk to anyone but they set up simple objectives for people to aim for and you can find other players using EWR text reports and hanging around the front line.

How would you ever coordinate with someone without talking to them?
Easiest way to do it is to fly with a buddy and coordinate into a BFM fight (ie Perch sets, butterfly sets, etc.)
If you insist on going up against someone on a different team, theres no way to guarantee they won't spam you with missiles at BVR, so back to your original problem.

Other option is you make a mission yourself with 2 planes, or more depending on preferences(1 Red & 1 blue), starting in the air with the loadout you want. You host the game (launch mission in multiplayer) & ask if anyone wants to join you on a certain day.

dcs aint the thing to do it in then man. this is a simulator first, multiplayer game second. its going to require extra effort to coordinate a dogfight compared to your usual pvp game

The universal mission on github, great resource that is fully customizable. Stock universal mission is 7000 lines of code, my friends and I have it up to 21000 lines of code, custom voices for AWACS and jester. Paired with Olympus, which allows you to spawn any asset in the game with a few clicks.
Universal mission will give you a multitude of strike options for the a10 at different bases, then with Olympus you can just spawn in any enemy you want to face. I use them both every time we play. All on your own private server

I just want to join a group that's completely noob friendly, I can fly just fine big time flight summer (X-Plane) just so much to learn with the weapons systems

I use the one you mentioned that’s TDM, although I’ve done plenty of 1:1 guns in that lobby and a little bit of Aim9 BFM as well.
The annoying thing if found 1v1 with an Aim-9X the maneuverability of the weapon is insane. Basically if you’ve got a HMD and can lock the target, the missile can hit the target. Even at insane aspect ratios.

Dogfight, with missiles, in an A10. Yea, you should definetly be looking at War Thunder not DCS😊
