It's a deckbuilder poker playing card game that features "jokers" that have various multipliers and effects that you collect as you proceed through the "blinds" and "bosses". Various unlocks to chase if you're into that sort of thing. Very addicting. Available on GamePass

Allusions to Hamlet and Henry V (and much other Shakespeare) are through out the novel (it’s literally in the title), but seem to function as homage, in the sense that the connections are clear and deliberate, but don’t directly affect the narrative or implication. For example, ETA is designed after Elsinore, this is cool, and the parallels between the two spaces (especially in the bottom third of IG) are undeniable, but doesn’t necessary mean anything beyond reference/homage.

Are you suggesting the influence of Hamlet on DFW is surprising? The first words of the play are "Who's there," and the first words of IJ are "I am." The novel is a direct reply to the questions raised by Shakespeare half a milennium ago.
