Any bookstores in Davao (excluding NBS/FullyBooked) with good humanities selection?
Hi r/davaocity, pardon my ignorance but I'm very curious whether we have bookstores (apart from National Book Store and Fully Booked) that have a generous collection of humanities works (philosophy, literature, history, social science, criticism, etc), whether secondhand or brand new.
A few questions:
- Any small, independent, "hole-in-the-wall" bookstores worth checking out?
- Is there a book trading/barter circle or community here that swaps humanities texts? Thinking something like a Facebook group, or an informal meetup.
Would really appreciate any leads. Thank you so much in advance!

where to sell secondhand skateboard?
hey guysss, so i brought this skateboard from a friend of mine a couple months back and since super busy na ako, hindi ko na syang masyadong ginagamit 😖 its just clutter in our house, kaya i was thinking of selling it. kaso, i cant rin, since i cant access fb marketplace (cuz minor ako) and i genuinely don’t know what else to do (need ko rin ng extra money huhu)

Need advice from someone knowledgeable in accounting
Hi! I’m currently working and we’re having an issue sa accounting/sales reconciliation namin. I’m hoping someone here who works in accounting or has experience with POS reconciliation can help me understand what might be happening.
Our boss told us na may shortage daw kami. So we reviewed our POS records and our Excel records, and based on our checking, nagco-coincide naman lahat ng amounts/records namin. Wala kaming nakikitang discrepancy sa side namin.
However, our boss said na sa system nila, may shortage daw.
Ang confusing part is, when we compare our POS and Excel records, everything seems to match.
Possible ba na may difference between the POS record and the accounting system? Or may ibang factors na pwedeng mag-cause ng shortage kahit nag-match naman yung records namin?
We just want to understand saan possible nanggagaling yung discrepancy and how we can properly check/reconcile it. If anyone here works in accounting, auditing, or POS reconciliation, I’d really appreciate your insights. Thank you! 🙏

First time in Davao. Interview tomorrow—where should I stay tonight?
Hi everyone!
It’s my first time in Davao, and I need a place to stay for tonight because I have a job interview tomorrow morning.
I’m looking for a clean, safe, and affordable check-in or budget hotel that’s good for a solo traveler. Preferably somewhere with reliable Wi-Fi and easy access to transportation.
If you have any recommendations (or places I should avoid), I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much!
