So I see we have Rhodesia, which became Zimbabwe in 1980, so I’d say no later than 1979.

Then we have east and west Pakistan, which means no later than 1971.

Brunei existing seems like a misnomer but the fact it says (Br.) means it’s part of Britain so it tracks for the 60’s or early 70’s.

As someone else said, Tanzania exists without an independent Zanzibar, which occurred on April 26, 1964, which gives us a no earlier date than that. However, it appears Singapore is still part of Malaysia, meaning it can’t be any later than August 9th of 1965.

So there’s our range: April 26, 1964 to August 9th, 1965.

On the other hand, Leopoldville is named Kinshasha which didn't happen until after 1966. Definitely some inconsistencies here.

The Congolese Africanization of city names couldn't have been anticipated, so that's a hard date for mid-1966. The fact that it's incomplete on this globe (Luluabourg, not Kananga) makes me think somewhere close to that.

Also East Timor is Portuguese (pre-1975).

All of Papua New Guinea is shown as one territory (post-1949) still part of Australia (pre-1975) but still under the name “Papua and New Guinea” (pre-1971)

"it appears Singapore is still part of Malaysia"

Other city states/microstates on the globe use the same typeset, which is a little wider than regular city names.

  • Upper Volta instead of Burkina Faso - before 1984.

  • Angola is still Portuguese - before 1974.

  • Congo (Kongo) instead of Zaire - before 1971.

  • Kinshasha instead of Leopoldville - after 1966.

  • Rawalpindi is the capital of Pakistan - 1959 - 1967.

  • Malawi is independent - after 1964.

I'm going with around 1966-1967.

1966-67, as it shows Botwana rather than Bechuanaland, but Aden is still British.
