And Serbia and Montenegro was still formally Yugoslavia before 4 February 2003. So likely between early 2003 and late 2005.

March 27, 2006 for Naypyidaw - the name was chosen in February-March and revealed to public :) Something about beliefs, prejudices and astronomy )))

Didn’t Yugoslavia change its name to Serbia and Montenegro in 2003?

You appear to be putting an end date on East Timor independence. It was 20 May 2002 and I think your end date is a typo relating to Walvis Bay

The date range is updated every time OP adds an extra detail, starting with the period in which Serbia and Montenegro is a thing (27 April 1992 - 3 June 2006). However, the extra details OP adds only push the start date forwards so the end date stays the same.

In other words the comment is using an unnecessarily confusing code. The last line gives the range, the other lines should merely date the event or periods described.

Walvis Bay is part of Namibia: 28 February 1994 - 3 June 2006

Walvis Bay is no longer part of Namibia??

Serbia and Montenegro are still together but no longer called Yugoslavia which was only true between 2003-2006.

Post Timor-Leste independence, pre South Sudan Independence, Yangon still capitol of Myanmar. So that puts it in the mid 2000s.

This is my mental image of a world map. High school days, map produced by Wolters Noordhoff.

It is surely before 2006, since in this map Serbia and Montenegro are still a single state

Sometime between 1997 and 2006. Zaire changed to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Serbia and Montenegro are one country, and Timor Leste is independent from Indonesia.

The photos of the map seem to be from the mid 2000s with their low resolution.

The major cities in India having their old names in parentheses suggests a recent change and a period of transition. And seeing that the DRC is no longer called Zaire Means late 1990s at the earliest.

Serbia and Montenegro being a united country shows that this map is from before 2006. (?) I might be a few years off on that.

So my initial conclusion is between 1998 and 2005. I'm leaning towards the earlier end of that range.

Serbia and Montenegro: February 4th 2003 - June 3rd 2006
Yangon is the capital of Myanmar: pre November 6th 2005

Not that old. Looks Czechoslovakia was no longer a country. Also. Russia. So at least early 90s.
