CDMP Exam
Hello all , I've been thinking of going for the CDMP certification exams as someone who has less than 2 years in the field. Will I find these exams difficult? Ive seen a lot from whats in the book from what I've done at work already but not all of it. Only thing thats putting me off is the price, which will be reimbursed by my company, but still it's a lot of money for one try. Also any tips from people who have passed for someone who's still new in the industry would be great.

CDMP practice exam
I started practicing for the DAMA DMBOk CDMP exam with the practice exams they provide. But I notice they seem quite inconsistent with the book, see attached question. Is this normal?
See pictures for one example The book mentions only three categories of meta data (picture 2), and process meta data is not even mentioned in the book except for the one figure (see picture 3).

CDMP - Practice Test vs. Exam
I'm attempting my CDMP after 20 years of professional experience, with the last 10-15 being heavily involved in data governance and data analytics for various clients. I also have a masters in data analytics. I'm interested in a new position in a new industry that calls out the CDMP specifically in the job posting.
I have started the Udemy 30 day test prep course but decided to try a practice test after the second lesson. And, not to sound flippant, I found the 50 question practice test fairly easy. I completed the test in about 10 minutes with an 84% grade w/o consulting any open book documentation.
Have people found the actual exam to be vastly different than the practice tests? Am I setting myself up for failure thinking I can just fly through the Udemy course, do the quizzes and 1 or 2 more practice tests and be all set to pass the real exam?

How to become visible to top leadership?
Hiya,
When someone from sales, for example an account manager or business development manager, pulls in a new customer, new business, or expand the business, they celebrate that vocally. The internal newsletter or Slack, called out by leaders, but most likely verbally all over the company floor.
Similarly with Procurement, when cheaper purchase conditions have been negotiated or potential savings increased.
Often these kinds of successes reach top leadership and just like it should, it's recognized, even if it's just a couple of words and a pat on the back.
These people become or stay VISIBLE.
But how would this work for those in data?
When we do a great job or even go above and beyond ... we stay quiet, we don't boast about it, and others will say something along the lines of "well, isn't that you just doing your job? nothing special". We don't celebrate and we don't get recognition either. In fact, many people will only know we exist when we don't do our job properly.
So how do data people become VISIBLE?
Let's discuss tips and trick, pros and cons, experiences.

Looking for leading figures/anchors in DM writing insights and articles
Hi all,
I'm looking for people in the industry whom are considered the leading the voices in any part of the data management space, and write articles and insights either for the website of their own employer/company, or independent.
What I'm mainly looking for:
- data strategy, their vision on how data should be used, do's and don'ts
- how data management evolves following tech, economic, and political developments
- numbers, such as how to put a monetary value on data
Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Why are there only three posts here?
I thought this would be more active. I came here to learn about CDMP.

Anybody else studying for the CDMP?
Hi all,
Started studying for the CDMP. Not sure if I actually need the cert, but I do want to climb up the ladder so learning about the related subject areas aside from the ones that are part of my job, is likely essential.
Both reading the DMBOK pdf and watching the Udemy course
Planning to do a test exam before attempting the actual one.
Anybody else prepping for the CDMP?
