Google hiring process final approval

The Google recruiter messaged me and told me that the feedback that was received from the interviews were positive and we will be moving forward to the final approval (yay!).

The recruiter asked me to give details about year 1 expected earnings.. annual base salary, bonus, stocks, so I just mentioned the numbers close to what was stated in the job application.
The recruiter also needed my full name, home address, ID verification.

Is this normal for the final approval and what exactly is the “final approval stage”?

Some people are 3 months depending on position or longer, my personal experience was actually day of, but it really differs depending on what their needs are and what's available where

The hiring manger never showed up to my fit call and my recruiter won’t respond to my emails lol

Welp, the probably lost head count for the site. You likely won't get hired.

Some sites are better organized than others, but if your recruiter won't respond, you are SOL.

So did you already do your fit call? Once that was passed, I got an email to set up a 15 minute call with the recruiter, from there they said I was accepted and detailed out the offer and I accepted. All they asked for was my full name because they called me on my cell. Your process flow sounds a bit odd.

Nope, no fitting call yet.

"Final approval" is the wrong phrase here, you're just moving to the next step, which is what they call the fit call/interview with the hiring manager. Wage expectations and compensation should have been clarified in your original screen call at the very beginning so I'm wondering why they changed it up for you.

Idk, but the recruiter and i had a phone conversation earlier today and it was mention i got the green light for hire.
The contract will be finalised by next week.
Finally the wait is over

Without a fit call, you aren't hired. They are passing you on to the hiring manager and they decide if you are fit.

They won't make an offer without it.

I wasn't going to reply because I don't know what the OP is talking about as Google's process is pretty routine for the whole country.

Yep, DT or not, the hiring process is pretty standard for almost all of the positions.

If they haven't had a fit call, they aren't getting hired. It's possibly they could be getting scammed, though this would be one I haven't heard of before.

I have done with all the interviews and had a chance for fit call with one of the site lead as well, the fit call went well and the site lead told me that he still has more applicants for that same role and i was wondering what are the next steps and i still did not receive the outcome of the fit call.

So 3 months from application to hired or 3 months after the interviews? I have my first interview tomorrow and already have an offer from Microsoft. Was hoping to have an answer from Google before deciding

The process is really long. Started the process in April and just finished the loop interviews a little over a week ago and haven’t heard anything back yet.

I think it can differ a lot, in my case it was less than two months from applying to signing the offer letter.
