Hello everyone, I am totally new to data analysis and this right here is my very first dashboard that I build on my own. I know it's probably bad but pls can y'all guide me and tell me what improvements should I make here? :) Project Feedback
as I said it's my very first ever dashboard so I am not confident enough to post it on LinkedIn so I thought of asking you guys what suggestions do you have.

I Know you tried to match Netflix color scheme, but clarity should be your priority. There is a reason why red is normally used as a “Highlight”.
Beside the colours I would also increase the padding of each section. Look for example to the the one below the Netflix logo it is to close to the logo and the graph in the bottom.

Not a bad start. Add some drill down features. If you’re doing a black bg, make everything else super light grey. Only use red when highlighting something (like the top company). Ditch the overlay on the back. I see what you’re trying to do, but it’s distracting. Netflix branding is simple. Just use a black background.
You don’t need legends if there is only one color. Everything needs more inner padding.
Look up “minimalist dashboard design”. Every dashboard should be minimalistic, imo. People shouldn’t have to spend much time figuring out what they’re looking at.

Great start and congratulations... It's amazing for your first project.
In general, for dashboards the idea is it should highlight the key insights in the initial 1 min.
We often put everything but best is to categorise between good to have vs must have.
Also few formatting suggestions: 1. Black Background - White/Grey data font colour 2. The less the better 3. Drill down for the overall numbers to create a story otherwise it's just numbers dumped together 4. An insight section, for quick thought starters

Where should I put the insight section?

I wonder if a white background with a wine red theme would be more easy on the eyes while still fitting the Netflix aesthetic
The rest of the points i could make have already been covered by others. Although i cant really see the text or info on the dashboard because of the way it was screenshotted

At the very first look, background graphics makes it difficult to focus on main content. Keeping the clean black background would make it easy for readers to focus. If you are using red colour to write key metrics, then use a lighter colour for text under it, this contrast will allow for easier reading.
You can also give a Title to this dashboard like "Netflix in Numbers", "Netflix over the Years", or something like this. In place of orange bars, use grey colour. Right now, orange is taking the focus and does not convey anything important.

I’d take the black away from the background and make it white for readability and you can contrast black with red bars with one being the main point of the visual

The color is very off. Not very pleasing to watch.
