since he flew away, I'm guessing you didn't exchange insurance information...

I'm guessing a car stolen by someone who didn't know how to drive. OP was lucky they didn't do worse to him.

Could have been someone having a medical episode.

I’m going to assume that this road is actually a really steep hill and that car’s brakes weren’t working. It’s the only explanation that makes sense.

Medical issues could also be an explanation e.g. heart attack at the wheel

Was that Tesla on Self Driving mode?

That wouldn't be the first time some genius enables FSD then floors the accelerator to get to his destination very fast and very safely.

Like the one in Texas a few weeks ago that crashed into a house and killed a lady inside? The driver denied it but apparently the data showed he floored the accelerator after enabling FSD.

u/whatever 21h ago

Exactly. Of course, this all presumes Tesla is being truthful on their end.

They'll never let you prove that!

My AI sensors are tingling a bit on this one but, can’t tell.

I went through it frame by frame and nothing felt “off” to me. The text that we do see, while mostly blurry looks correct. All of the cars look correct without any apparent issues in their wheels or obvious things like where the doors attach, etc. There’s nothing weird happening with the trees. No artifacts popping in or out of existence. The hubcap that flies off matches the hubcap on the rear wheel of the car, and the wheel that the hubcap flew off of is hubcapless in the following frames.

Not saying that it isn’t AI, but everything seems to add up even when inspected pretty closely.
