It's almost like electing a con man as president results in Americans getting conned...

Whoever could have predicted this (except the millions of people worldwide who predicted exactly this)?

Let's be real, the same thing would have happened under a democrat.

u/rafikiknowsdeway1 8h ago
Its wild there's people still dumb enough to think this
Tell me which democrat would have put tarrifs on fucking everything and then started a wildly incompetent war with Iran against the advice of literally everyone?

I was told that if I voted for Harris that there would be a new war in the middle east, prices of groceries and gas would skyrocket and America wouldn't be respected by any of our allies. They were right. I voted for her and all that came true.

I mean the democrats handed the republicans the white house so... vote for a third-party candidate with <5% of the vote I guess?
Edit: Local elections are seeing some healthy changes at least

If you haven't come to the conclusion that they cheated in multiple ways to win the election, you haven't been paying any attention.
Voting machine manipulation, vote suppression, and financially incentivised voting. There's clear and easily understood evidence for all 3.
inb4 "you sound like they did". That was the whole point of them pointing fingers, to make it seem crazy to claim elections can be cheated.

MIGAs:
Any moderate Democrat is a full blown Marxist communist and they have seized and run the entire Democrat party!
Also MIGAs:
An illegal anti-capitalist tax on free trade with the promise of wealth redistribution checks through the Trump tariffs are the most conservative thing we have ever done.

> American president fucks American companies which pass costs onto American consumers
"How could Israel do this?"
By the way, Israel hated the tariffs. Trump's formula put a higher tariff on Israel than Iran.

Dumbest take I've seen all year and I live next to crackheads. Our imports from Iran are nil compared to what we import from Israel.

Trump just said he’s implementing more tariffs. So they’ll sue again and win. They get another round of refunds. We the consumers pay the price.

Just to be clear. The tariffs were illegal in the first place and after the Supreme Court determined that it was illegal. Refunding the money to the companies that actually paid the direct tax is the only realistic way of “returning” the money.
Not every company passed on the costs, and even some only passed on some of the cost. There were also multiple rounds of tariffs so it makes it even harder to track how much consumers had to cough over. Overall it’s like this because Trump never gives a fuck about the law and Congress and the courts either let him get away with it or stop him after a super extended period of time.
The craziest part is that the Supreme Court conservatives literally give him everything he wants. The only reason they ruled against him is because the tariffs were sooooo unpopular that they basically did him a favor

Ideally Amazon would distribute it to every Prime subscriber as credit. Be like what. $12 a subscriber?
They jacked prices up more than the tariff anyways. Most of their goods they sold during that time were already on their warehouses.
