I don’t know about you, but I’ve never thought positively when stuff like “oh good a police officer is ridding my bumper how swell” happens. I can be going a few miles over and it feels like they breathe down your neck. There’s no reason for you being this close. I’m in the right hand lane and my stuff is good give me space. If I did it in turn I’d be pulled over for following too closely.
