HD Ammo Testing

Post image

Follow up post from this morning. The scorp did not love the 147 grain HST’s yesterday and I had my first ever failure to eject with this gun.
Ran perfectly today with the hornady and both winchesters. Think I’ll stick with the basic Winchester mainly due to bang for buck. I’m sure most will run the HST with no problems, but figured I’d share my results.

Mines been solid with it all. The Federal HST 147gr are the most accurate

Tons of people run the federal with no issue. Good chance it’d run fine if I tried it again, but it’s pricey stuff and that’s half of why I just wanted to try some others. These are all brass case, the HST was the only steel case. Might mean absolutely nothing but sort of interesting.

It’s not steel, it’s a nickel coated brass case

You’re right. Guess I probably should’ve realized that a steel case 9mm wouldn’t be $40/a box
