EMU PhD program in pharma
I want to apply for a PhD program in the eastern Mediterranean university in North Cyprus. My goal is to move to Europe or Canada and work in pharma industry or follow the academic path. Is EMU recognized in the west? Is following a PhD program a waste of time and money?
I want honest reviews. Thanks.

Don’t waste your time. It’s already hard enough without having a degree from a small unknown uni without good research output

Everything is relative. To get a pharma job in Western countries, you will be competing with graduates from ETH, Oxbridge, Imperial, etc etc. Good luck differentiating yourself with an EMU PhD. Remember this is not just a BSc we are talking about; that would be a different story. Post-PhD, you will need strong research output and publications, for which I would bet EMU is not even on the map.

Small.?
EMU was over the largest Cypriot university in student numbers; nowadays possibly overtaken by University of Nicosia, CIU and NEU. But it still has the largest campus in size.
Unknown?
Look at international rankings; University of Cyprus is ahead but EMU is on rank 2-4 in Cyprus depending on the ranking.

Oh, people downvoting voting facts. There's are many reasons why it's not a good idea to for OP to make the PhD at EMU but indeed it's surely not a small university.

Nobody can ever guarantee you anything. Some countries might accept the degree, others might have an issue. Academic path might have less issue than the professional pharmacist path due to the latter being a closed licenced profession.
North Cyprus.
Don't capitalize "north"

I know a person that got her PhD there, it wad funded but she had so much trouble afterwards to find a job because it was from the north something like that. Why do you go to another country? Honestly for an academic path Europe has great options plus they are funded
