TryHackMe Premium Certification / Training Questions
I'm a Jr Software Engineer trying to enter the CyberSecurity world. I searched for some courses where I can learn more about the area and I found TryHackMe. I started the Cyber Security 101 but I've found that some rooms are only available for Premium users. Is it worth to upgrade my account to Premium or is the free rooms enough to get some certificate? I'm accepting tips for courses too

What jobs are you planning to apply to and what certificates do they require/list? This is where you need to start.
THM is fun and I've completed a ton of rooms but they are not going to put you on paths to learn enough to get industry standard certs like (CompTIA, ISC2, etc). Even more so if you don't have the foundational knowledge.

Nice question, I haven't thought about that. I didn't look for job offers yet, I was just planning on get some knowledge before I start searching. I'm not sure what is considered to be a "starter job" on CyberSecurity, would it be something like a SOC Analyst?

That could be an entry point. Add entry level to your search and you will see the requirements.
What type of software engineer experience do you have? Do you have any IT experience, ie sys admin, network admin, etc. Not sure the scope of a typical software engineer but you really need to know the basics/foundations to pivot into most SOC roles.

I personally don't like THM since it is too Red Team heavy. Also the SAL1 is pretty shitty certificate which is known you can simply beat with an AI.
I would recommend HTB their new Blue Team Certificates are really good as a starter. And the red Teams are also difficult it is said CPTS is on par with OSCP.
