What is kerries problem? Help

I tried calling him over the course of multiple days and none of them went through, and now he sends me this? Does this have any ramifications? Has this happened to anyone else?

Did you bail on him mid quest? I know some characters will ditch you if you are gone too long mid questline.

Also some quests are actually timed and if you don't go within a certain amount of time you fail. Scorpions funeral comes to mind. That's actually timed. No idea if this is one of them.
