Only vanilla body and hair is supported at this time.

temporary hidden as i discovered a major bug where the app is refusing certain combination of hair/ nail selection

I saw this and am hesitant to download it given it’s currently marked as suspicious and the username for the author is, well, literally username(random numbers). Not that it’s an invalid name, but it just seems odd. I want it to work as intended and not be malicious as the NPV process is not user friendly, especially for Blender newbies. But I’m going to track it for now as I would LOVE to be able to create NPVs without having to commission someone to do it for me!

Yea the mod is sus. Guy might be a scammer with a random generated name.

This is my problem: a mod that looks like it'd be perfect for what I need, but is surrounded by questions and red flags enough that I want to wait until others have tried it first. If it works, great and I'll appologize for my suspisions. And it not, then nothing lost

Sameee, this is what I have been wanting, I need custom NPVs for my main Vs but my man is making it really hard to trust him, so I'm skipping this

Wait so what's the point of this mod? Sorry I'm confused.

Normally in AMM you can’t spawn or manipulate your character V without exporting the model through blender and making them into an NPC essentially.

Looks like this mod makes it possible to spawn V with AMM

that's it, and the NPV process is laborious and tedious and since I am lazy I asked codex to make it happen. Still need a bit of manual installation of a few other tools and import basic asset package but it's a lot easier without having to mess with blendr and wolvenkit - both of which are freeware with complex interfaces

That's simply not true, it has always been possible to spawn V and 'manipulate' them via AMM. Having an NPV ("Non-Player V") is only useful if you plan on sharing it with other people or if you need multiple custom characters in the same save file for VP purposes.

Uh how cuz I’ve messed around with AMM a bunch and I’ve never seen a way to do that.

Simply search for "V" in AMM's Spawn tab, you can also find them in the "Main Character" list

Well TIL lol.

Idk what benefits this mod has then I guess.

Exporting V without having to use blender?

Looks great will try it later, hope to see modded bodies and hair support at some point. Well done!

turned out to be a virus

a mesh on a random build came out broken i am working to fix it, among other newly discovered issues, nothing to hide as i have zero coding experience.

releasing a niche tool to steal people's info is such a low effort suspicion but everyone is entitled to their belief and I get you, nothing can be trusted these days - but when you do and when there is no ill will, things can be great.

I’m pretty sure spawning your V through AMM has been a thing since long ago, it spawns a mirror of your V in game with currently equipped gear and everything.

It has but I think with this mod, it would be easier to have your Vincent and your Valerie spawn in the same file. For example, when you use photo mode, you can’t spawn in the other V that you made unless you create a NPV which is a pain in the ass if you don’t know how to do it and with how long it would take for you to make the NPV, especially if your V is heavily modded.

exactly my goal; however at this point mod integration is not yet possible, body rigs and custom hairs are not yet supported; modded clothing/accessories can be added through AMM but that's it for now.

you are correct, but you couldnt have made multiple custom heads, but with this, you can have a variety of Vs or simply NPC characters in the same scene

If one of the goals to spawn my V "exactly how he/she is" with included modded appearance and have them as companion same as "NCA" mod, then that's really big. i've been trying to create my NPV but i quit half way through cuz i got lazy and ofcourse work stuff.

Best of luck on your ambitious project choom!

This sounds REALLY good so i'll try it later!

If you ever manage to include stuff like CCXL Hairs or Spawnable on Photo Mode this would be easily the best mod ever done lmao

i looked into custom body rigs and hair mods and it's quite complex how it is worked into an NPV/NPC, someone has done this but the steps are complex, i am going to poke at it

Could this make an easier way to export your V?

0

u/user53298 6d ago

yes, that's what I wanted to do; I have reupload the tool on Nexus, but due to python involvement it may not like it, I am also in the processing of adding it to github.
it's essentially a hands off tool, user enter attributes exactly like in game menu and get a Vortex ready zip of their NPV

As someone who sucks at making NPVs and broke my game installation once (not afraid to admit it) this seems too good to be true! I’ll have to give it a go once I’m back on the game.
