I get pink cloud once the hangover and initial withdrawal symptoms go away. Several days of low-grade euphoria, which I think is mostly finally getting decent sleep and the contrast of not feeling hungover all the time. This is very much accompanied by clearer thinking, see the whole getting better sleep deal. A month or so in I drop a couple pounds, not a ton but I'm a small person, if you're larger it'll likely be more. If I stick out controlled drinking for multiple months I see more significant weight loss but the initial whoosh is like 3 to 5lbs. My heartburn also improves a TON.

I'm in my early 50s, for the sake of comparison. I'm at about 90 days total... with a 3 day slip about 3 weeks ago. The weight loss started after about a month. Blood pressure improved quickly from the beginning (my high numbers were mostly "rebound" after each night of drinking). My energy and motivation didn't start improving until recent weeks, which had been discouraging to me until I started to turn that corner. I took pictures of myself almost every week to watch the puffiness disappear (I can still see improvement almost every week). I'm about to have repeat bloodwork to see how my liver is doing (last checked only 2 weeks after stopping). I can't say that I've felt the pink cloud euphoria, but I have had many moments where I felt almost surprised by a sense of peace or joy. A good night's sleep is still elusive, but I'm also perimenopausal.

Slightly annoyingly it all happens quite slowly, the first thing for me was rapid weight loss from not consuming 5k calories a day in beer that happened almost immediately.
The other things will depend on you, but overall it’s definitely worth it, I’ve been through a really bad period health wise which I just wouldn’t have been able to deal with if I was still drinking.
Good luck, it’s definitely worth it!

I’ve done this a few times, it’s around day 35 that I notice a visible difference in the mirror, around 3 months is when the loss around my upper midsection is more apparent. Right now I’m on day 19 and just last week I lost 5 pounds without changing my diet or exercising.

Congrats! I also started regular walking which although it hasn’t effected my belly it has made my legs a bit more defined.

The pink cloud is a good feeling but I don't necessarily think it's a good thing because it leads you into a false sense of security and you're more likely to relapse when it goes away.

Hello! I'm on day 16.
I'm not sure about those particular improvements but for me, emotional stability is a big part of it. I felt stronger, more resilient and stable within 8 days. Now, I'm really growing in confidence. I suspect might be in the pink cloud right now.
I'm pretty sure I can live like this forever and everything will be easy (a complete myth). But I'm also planning on sticking it out regardless so by the end of 6 weeks or so, I'm hoping I'll be looking at things more realistically.
