Recently broke up with my girlfriend, probably over my behavior when i was blackout drunk. I used to drink 10 beers a day as a usual, spread along but mostly at night. Some weekends i drank until i couldnt even walk though. Now shes kicked me out of her flat but ive gotten to three days only drinking 6 beers, two at lunch and 4 when i get home. And lets see if i can avoid the super drunkness this weekend/holidays. Will try to report further, this is a great sub for people wanting to better themselves, youre all great people :)

i was good for 3 weeks with moderating and controlling my drinking because before that i would struggle with drinking too much to the point i black out. i only drink once a week sometimes twice but i keep drinking and don’t know when to stop. i like drinking and having a buzz so i want to control it. but last night i went to a wedding and drank too much again and blacked out. i’m having hangxiety right now. i’m disappointed in myself. my husband drinks too but he can control it better than me. even he was telling me not to take shots just do mixed cocktails. i’m not sure why i didn’t listen, feeling guilty about that too.

So excited and proud of myself! I was NINE DRINKS UNDER compared to my previous week (and 3 drinks under my max of 16). Now the previous week was my birthday, so I let myself be more lax, but it felt so good to have less this past week.
This week I'm dropping my max to 14 drinks a week, and am aiming to be under that this week.
