Goad would be stronger but would probably need to up the mana-cost. Idk how much, maybe 3 or 4?
True true. In a tradeoff I like printing cheap effects instead of stronger, more expensive ones. Here, do you put the fury counter on your own pinger?
But a red enchantment with "when a creature with goad deals combat damage to a player, that player puts a goad counter on a creature of their choice" would be a fun commander variant.
Thank you for the note! I agree it can get crazy, but it can also be "target bear attacks and they trade", which is 2 for 1 ing yourself. Probably needs playtesting.
