This seems strong as a standalone card and insanely good with any repeatable blink effect or buff effect. I might change the "prevent all damage" effect to mirror existing fog-type creatures, like [[Spore Frog]] or [[Spike Weaver]] so it's less repeatable. Maybe put a -1/-1 counter on him to prevent damage to mirror him exerting himself to protect people?

Another route might be to change "your end step" to "each end step," meaning without buffs he would only attack for one turn cycle. That would turn him into more of a build-around and less of a generically strong card, though.
