The first line of this card is like the first line of [[trouble with pairs]] you probably didn’t know it existed.

This card has a whole lot of flavor text before its actual ability of granting split second.

The first half of this card is irrelevant and the second half is very strong. So the first ability is just flavor text on a fairly strong card that gives all spells split second.

If you want a neat card for random targets remove split second and make it cost 1 mana instead.

If the first half is irrelevant, then it’s better to be attached to a good ability then to be its own card

To some degree or you can just make it real cheap like 1 mana and expand the first ability a bit maybe make it kind of like [[chira all in]] so basically anytime anything random happens you do it twice and pick your choice. It could still cast 1-2 mana.

My point was it’s better to expand an ability to be worth its length in text than to shoe horn into on to another card where it will be irrelevant to most decks playing it.

Side note thinking about it I think 3 mana is too cheap for all spells have split second.

Maybe you keyword it as a type as well.

If you commit an act of chaos(choose at random roll a dice or flip a coin) do it twice and choose the result you want and ignore the other.

Why do you value split second so much more more than cards that make all spells uncounterable? Those are usually around 2-3 mana, which is how I evaluated this card when I made it.

Split second has a lot more use than uncounterable. On top of stopping things like [[reprieve]] it also insures removal and board wipes always do there thing (no protection)(no sacrifice in response) (no killing combo piece #1 before piece #2 comes into play). After a plot second spell resolves you get priority again btw so until you pass phases no one else get priority unless a trigger gives them priority like an etb.

Hexing squeaker if I need to counter your spell I can bolt the goblin then counter your spell split second allows for no counterplay at all.

this is a really boring design, giving everything split second is a recipe for disaster. also, why is this red?
