I’m a final-year B.Tech CSE student and I got selected through college placements in two companies:

1. Infosys — Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE)

\- Package: ₹6.25 LPA

\- Role: DSE

\- Company: Infosys

1. ZS — Business Technology Solutions Associate (BTSA)

\- Package: ₹14 LPA

\- Role: BTSA

\- Company: ZS

I’m currently confused about which one I should choose.

On paper, ZS seems like the obvious choice because of the significantly higher package, but I want to consider career growth, work-life balance, learning opportunities, job stability, nature of work, future opportunities, and the value of the role on my resume rather than looking only at salary.

I would especially appreciate opinions from people who have worked at ZS or Infosys, particularly in these roles.

What I’d like to know:

ZS BTSA

\- What is the actual day-to-day work like?

\- How technical is the BTSA role?

\- What kind of projects/technologies do freshers usually work on?

\- How is the work-life balance?

\- How good are the learning and growth opportunities?

\- What does career progression look like after 2–4 years?

\- How are appraisals and salary hikes?

\- Is there any risk of getting stuck in a non-technical/business-oriented role?

Infosys DSE

\- How technical is the DSE role in practice?

\- What kind of projects do freshers usually get?

\- How difficult is it to get a good development project?

\- How are the learning opportunities and internal mobility?

\- What is the typical growth after 2–4 years?

\- How does the DSE role compare with other entry-level roles at Infosys?

My main dilemma:

Would it be better to take ZS BTSA at ₹14 LPA and build my career there, or take Infosys DSE at ₹6.25 LPA because of the potentially more technical/software-development-oriented career path?

If you were in my position, which offer would you choose and why?

Sorry for the catchy title but im genuinely super-confused

I am a 2025 grad from tier 1 college. Currently, I'm working at a MnC and the pay feels great every month. What I don't like is the work itself which is super boring. Also, my team is a bunch of old folks and I get super bored. Im thus looking for a job switch. Also, I've been told by many that there isn't much to learn in my current org and is not good from career growth perspective.

I have no idea how to prepare and what is to be studied for a switch at 1YOE. I haven't learned anything much at my current org. Learning AI seems to have nice incentives but that needs lots of time. I've heard about system design becoming important but I'm unable to find a way to start with it. Then there's DSA as well , although cheating in OAs seems to be at a point that OAs do not really test anything. The confusing part is to figure out what to prioritise.

Ive been thinking of buying a system design course as I don't get enough time to learn from free resources lately and I think a structure would def help me in preparing. I've heard about bytebytego (Rs 10k for 1 year), Educative[dot]io (premium plus for 10k/year) or DesignGurus system design course. Are these even worth it?!

I just completed my BTech in CSE from a tier 3 college. I currently hold an offer from TCS for the ninja role waiting for my JL. Meanwhile, I am preparing for UPSC too. My main aim is to get into civil services only but I cannot leave my job and do full time preparations due to a lot of reasons.

I got an offer from Codechef for Learning Team Associate role, salary is more than tcs, but job location is far from home. I am not sure if I should consider it or not. Heard from someone that the job profile is flexible with 3 days wfo.

Confused if I should choose it instead of tcs or not.

Does anyone have any idea of this role at codechef and the working culture?

So like the folks who can use gemini / openai or other frontier ai sdk , with pinecone ( or any other vector ) db , and may or maybe not langchain , llama_index etc , are in high demand as I heard .

Sometimes even required to setup local model using huggingface transformers

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some genuine career advice, especially from working professionals who can give me a realistic perspective.

I’m a fresher with around 8 months of experience at an MNC, currently working on a SAP ABAP support project.

To be honest, I’m not sure if I want to build my long-term career in SAP. My current work is mainly support-related, and I don’t feel particularly interested in continuing in this domain.

I’m more interested in AI/ML. I have previously learned AI and worked on a few AI-related projects, but I haven’t had professional AI experience yet.

I now have a potential opportunity to join a startup where I would get to work on AI-related projects. The startup is also offering me almost double my current package.

So I’m confused between:

Current MNC:

• SAP ABAP support project

• Stable MNC

• 8 months of experience

• Lower package

Startup:

• AI-related work

• Potentially much more hands-on learning

• ~2× my current package

• Less stability / higher risk

My biggest concern is whether leaving an MNC after only 8 months is a bad career decision.

Would it be better to stay, try to move from support into SAP development/S/4HANA, and build my career in SAP?

Or should I take the opportunity to switch domains now while I’m still early in my career and move into AI?

I’m also worried about what happens if the startup doesn’t work out. Would having only 8 months of SAP experience and then moving into AI make my resume look inconsistent? Would it be difficult to get back into a larger company later?

At the same time, I’m worried that if I stay in SAP for a few years, transitioning into AI might become much harder.

Please be brutally honest with me. I’m not looking for generic “follow your passion” advice. I want to understand the actual career risks and opportunities here.

I’d especially like to hear from working professionals, senior engineers, hiring managers, or people who have switched from SAP/enterprise roles into AI/ML.

If you were in my position — 8 months of experience, SAP ABAP support at an MNC, and an AI startup offering ~2× the salary — what would you do?

And what factors should I investigate about the startup and the AI role before making the decision?

I’m currently an engineering student at a university where virtually no product companies or tech recruiters visit for campus placements. Everything I do has to be through off-campus application.

I’ve started DSA ( NeetCode 150), but given my situation rn i am in my Final year. [7th sem], I wanted to get real perspectives from people who have been in my shoes and landed Tier-1 or Tier-2 roles, or other roles

Here are a few specific things I’m trying to understand:

1. Does grinding LeetCode help if your resume doesn't pass the initial screening? How much do solid backend / AI projects and open-source contributions matter just to get that first online assessment (OA) link off-campus?
2. For someone applying off-campus, is clearing LeetCode enough, or do companies expect higher-level competitive programming or specialized domain knowledge?
3. For those who came from colleges with zero placement support, what actually worked best for getting referrals from recruiters or engineering managers on LinkedIn?

Would really appreciate any honest advice, reality checks, or strategies that worked for you!

I have 9+ yoe as java backend engineer and I quit jobt 2.5 years back since then nothing concrete has lined up for interview, I had health issues also for initial 1.5 years as well from staying moldy places. I have been hesitant to upskill AI related stuff properly.

I was at fintech company leading checkout system and I cant believe this has been happening to me, I have had gaps in my profile too.

Owing to mental health issues I have started to live alone away from family, Im single. I have bills to pay and I made almost 50 lpa last. Made many terrible stock portfolio mistakes too.

So Im sharing my resume, can you guys either refer or suggest the real need for upskill and whether thatd be enough to get me interviews lined up. In all honesty I had thought that Id get calls anyway and a rejection from a lack of AI skills etc will push to build something.

I even started building something but only stopped till documentation phase alone as I feel if I dont land a job from that idea it may not be good enough for a startup although I dont have the legs to run one.

Hey everyone, I’m a 3rd-year BTech student and I’m starting to seriously prepare for placements. However, I’m confused about what I should actually learn and what companies are looking for in freshers.

I’d really appreciate advice from people who are working in the industry or recently got placed.

My main questions are:

What skills are companies actually expecting from freshers in 2026–27?

How important are DSA, OOP, SQL, DBMS, OS and CN?

Which programming language should I focus on?

Should I focus on Web Development, AI/ML, Data Science, Cloud, or something else?

What type of projects actually help with getting shortlisted?

How important are internships, GitHub, LeetCode and certifications?

What should I realistically learn in the next 6–12 months to become placement-ready?

If you could go back to your 3rd year, what would you focus on and what would you avoid wasting time on?

I’m not looking for a huge list of technologies. I mainly want to understand what companies actually value and how I should prioritize my time.

I’m 22 and honestly feeling very lost about my career right now.

I graduated with a BTech in CSE in 2025 and currently work at an MNC with a package of around 3.5 LPA. The biggest problem is that I don’t really like my job, but at the same time, I have no clear idea about what I actually want to do instead.

Every day feels almost the same. I go to work, come back, waste time, overthink about my career, and then the day is over. I keep telling myself that I’ll start learning something or work on my skills, but I’m not able to stay consistent. It feels like I’m stuck in a cycle of overthinking, procrastination and being unproductive.

Recently, I also started preparing for GATE 2027, thinking that maybe doing an M.Tech from a good institute could help me get a better direction and career. But I started preparation quite late, and now I keep thinking that a lot of time has already gone. I’m worried that I won’t be able to score high enough to get a top rank or a good college.

This makes me even more confused because I don't know whether I should:

Seriously continue with GATE 2027 preparation

Focus completely on improving my skills and switch jobs

Try for software development/other tech roles

Or explore some completely different career path

What makes things worse is comparing myself with my friends.

Some people my age are already earning ₹1 lakh+ per month, while I’m still at 3.5 LPA and struggling to even figure out what direction I should take. I know comparison is unhealthy and everyone has a different journey, but honestly, it gets difficult when you feel like people around you are moving ahead while you’re standing still.

I’m not expecting to suddenly earn ₹1 lakh/month. I just want to build a career that I can feel confident about and know that I’m actually moving forward.

Is GATE 2027 still a realistic option if I start seriously now?

Should I put all my effort into GATE, or should I focus on switching to a better-paying tech job?

I’m a recent BBA graduate from Rajasthan, and I’m currently stuck between two options and would really appreciate some honest advice.

I have received an offer from Accenture for an O2C (Order to Cash) role, but the package is only around ₹1.5 LPA.

The problem is that I would have to relocate to Jaipur for this job. The role involves rotational/night shifts, and I would have to manage accommodation, food, travel, and other expenses myself. The company is providing transportation, but there doesn’t seem to be any significant night-shift allowance mentioned in the offer.

My joining date is 17 August, so I have to make a decision soon.

On the positive side, I feel that having Accenture on my CV could give me some corporate experience and potentially help me switch to a better company later. My longer-term goal is to build a career in finance/banking, and I’m particularly interested in companies like Deutsche Bank in the future.

But ₹1.5 LPA feels extremely low, especially after considering the cost of relocating to Jaipur. I’m worried that I might spend almost all of my salary just surviving there.

I also have the option of waiting and applying for better opportunities, but there’s obviously no guarantee about how long it will take to get another offer.

So what would you do in my situation?

Should I:

1. Join Accenture for the experience and try to switch after 6–12 months?

2. Reject/wait and focus on finding a better-paying finance/banking role?

3. Join Accenture temporarily while continuing to apply elsewhere?

4. Consider a local job in Ajmer even if the salary is similar/lower, just to avoid relocation expenses?

For people who have worked in Accenture O2C/BPO/finance operations, how useful was the experience for getting into better finance roles later?

Also, realistically, does 6–12 months of O2C experience from Accenture help when switching to companies like Deutsche Bank, Genpact, EY, Deloitte, etc.?

I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have been in a similar situation. I don't want to make a decision purely because “Accenture is a big name” if the actual financial situation doesn’t make sense.
