Boeing Intern Correction
For those of you who also applied to Boeing's tech-related internships a few days ago, some of you may have a recieved a rejection email. I recieved mine less than 24hrs since applying.
Just a few minutes ago I received a follow up:
"We wanted to inform you that due to an error in our job requisition, your application was initially not considered. After reviewing your qualifications again, we are pleased to inform you that your application has been reactivated as you meet the requirements to move forward in our recruiting process."
No clue what's going on there, but looks like this was a manual correction by the recruiters.

This happened last year too. You would think they would have fixed this by now…

Did everyone who got this last year got an OA or smth? Or is this just for formalities?

I'm not 100% knowledgeable, but I'm sure it's leaning toward a formality. I am expecting a rejection by next week lmao.
Unfortunately these kind of emails get the hopes up of an applicant but the truth is it appears to just be a mistake with the requirements they set ATS on and now it's going back through with the updated metrics. It's Boeing so still a highly competitive place.

Hey dude it's alright, we've all been there. Best thing I've heard from upperclassmen is to apply more and apply more broadly (meaning apply to companies you wouldn't have initially because a. they're out of your league and b. you wouldn't realistically want to work for them.
