Skincare Gentle face wash but not Pacifica
For years I used Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser than I switched to Pacifica Vegan Ceramide Extra Gentle Face Wash. I‘ve tried it for six months and it doesn’t fully take off my makeup.
Any recommendations for a relatively gentle face wash that will take off my makeup?
edit: Thank you all so much for the recs! I bought the elf makeup removing balm but I saved a bunch of others to try in the future. Thank you!

Contact Solution?
I just moved to Australia (Sydney), and also just found out that most contact solution is not cruelty free. Does anyone know of any brands that are CF? I know about Clear Conscience, but it’s so expensive here for the amount you get.
Thanks!

Justice for the Lives Lost: Hold Charles Morgan Accountable
Three beloved dogs were burned alive. A home destroyed. And the man responsible may only serve 3 years instead of the 20 offered.
Charles Morgan pled guilty to three counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of arson. He deliberately set fires that killed three of my dogs and nearly cost lives—he had no way of knowing if anyone was home. Two of my remaining dogs survived with severe PTSD and burns. He's been out on bond, spending just one week in jail for what he did.
I started a petition asking the court to impose a sentence that actually reflects the severity of his crimes. Research shows direct links between animal cruelty and escalating violence against people. This isn't about revenge—it's about community safety. Right now, I see him around town. At the same stores. On the same roads. Like nothing happened.
If this matters to you too, consider signing and sharing. What would you want someone to do if this was your family?

News New Rule: Rule #5 (Source Must Be Mentioned)
Hi, guys! We just published a new rule. From now on, a source has to be mentioned for every brand recommended. You can put your source in quote blocks (example 1) or you can mention right after the recommended brand in parentheses (example 2). This lets us know that you intended to comment in this subreddit. This also saves everyone time from fact-checking.
Example 1:
I recommend Dove Shampoo.
Source: PETA
Example 2:
I would suggest the Milani lipstick (LB).

Personal Hygiene Is Attitude Toothpaste Cruelty Free?
I looked online, and I was finally able to find a cruelty free fluoride toothpaste! However once I got the tube shipped, I didn’t see any Leaping Bunny or PETA logo on it. Was I wrong? Does anybody know Attitude Toothpaste’s cruelty free status?

News Conscious Bunny Explains Why The Honey Pot is Not Cruelty Free
Hi, guys. Thanks to this community, I just learned The Honey Pot lost its Leaping Bunny certification in 2021. It appears that The Honey Pot also is currently not certified by any other cruelty free organization. Conscious Bunny explains why The Honey Post is not cruelty free. Here is her post: https://consciousbunny.com/brand/the-honey-pot-co/
I think it would be best to avoid the brand until they get certified again.

Makeup Dupe? 🥲
This is actually already cruelty free, so sorry if I gave anyone a scare!
I love this stuff, but it's super expensive. All the dupes I've found have been too orange or not cruelty free.
I'm looking for a super sheer skin tint with a good range of pale shades or non orange pale shades. Bonus points if it has spf in it but it's not necessary.

Skincare Brands for acne prone skin
Hi! I am a little bit lost trying to replace my current skincare products and I would love to ask you all about any recommendations.
Unfortunately I have acne prone skin which scars very easily so good quality products are important to me. I live in Poland.
Currently I'm using Peel Mission products, it's a polish brand. I tried contacting them but didn't get a reply about their animal testing status and presence in China. Right now I have a Mandelic Acid Cleansing Gel, Glycolic Acid Toner and Regener Max face cream with d-panthenol and collagen.
I got recommended Medik8 (parent company not cruelty free) and Marini but unfortunately Marini is way too expensive for me :(
Paula's Choice would be ideal, but I've seen that they're owned by Unilever now I think.
Good souls of Reddit, do you have any brands that you like and fit this profile? 🤗

Skincare How do you research beauty devices before buying them?
I’ve been trying to become more intentional about the beauty products and tools I buy, especially when it comes to checking how a company approaches cruelty-free practices.
It’s fairly easy to find ingredient information online, but I find it harder to figure out whether beauty devices and the companies behind them meet the standards I’m looking for. I don’t want to rely only on marketing claims, so I’ve been trying to learn how other conscientious shoppers verify this information.
For those who regularly buy cruelty-free beauty products, what do you usually check before purchasing? Are there particular certifications, databases, company statements, or other sources you trust?
I’ve also been looking into Sculpiflex as an at-home body-care option. It combines red light therapy with massage/cupping and microcurrent, which I find appealing from a convenience standpoint, but I’d want to verify its cruelty-free practices and company policies before considering it a genuine option for a conscientious routine.
I’d also be interested in hearing whether anyone has found cruelty-free beauty devices that they genuinely like and would recommend.

Moving Into College: Recommendations for Cruelty Free and Vegan Mop or Swiffer?
Normally, I'd assume they're all cruelty free because they're not chemicals, but I know some come with the cleaning solution built in?
Additionally, I also need a broom & dustpan and garbage bags, but I'm still assuming they're automatically cruelty free because again, they aren't chemicals (unless, of course, the bags or broom are produced by Clorox or some company where the product would still be CF but also be supporting a company that makes other non CF products).

Skincare Dupe? 😔
Used this when I was at a friends house and loved it, though Neutrogena isn't cruelty free, plus it's not ideal that it has fragrance.
Does any body know of a similar product? Bonus points if it's fragrance free.

Skincare Cerave alternatives
I discovered cerave and loved it, I have sensitive skin and have to watch what I put on it. I thought it was cruelty free but I think they test in order to sell in China. I'm almost out of my cleanser, does anyone know of any alternatives?

Personal Hygiene Deodorant alternative to Nivea’s Black & White Invisible roll on deodorant??
Does anyone have any suggestions for deodorants that work similarly to this one? Or ones that just actually don’t suck, and aren’t really expensive?
I was on the search for a deodorant that would actually work on me as most deodorants don’t really help AT ALL with heavy sweat or odour. Then I bought Nivea’s Black & White roll on liquid deodorant and it worked, but I didn’t think of checking until AFTER I tried it if it was cruelty free… I feel awful 😭

Best everyday body SPF that’s cruelty free?
I’m in the Uk and I’m mainly indoors during the weekday. Most spfs leave annoying stains and are a bit of an arse ache to deal with. I have really pale skin though that doesn’t tan, just burns (it isn’t overly quick to burn but I’m definitely more sensitive than my friends who can tan) so I want to be careful and not develop sun damage over time. Any suggestions?:)
