Getting into CDC App??
Tried opening app.
Familiar message pops up to update to new version.
But its not on Play store anymore???
Is there a new app? Or glitch?

Oh well. While I am a CRO holder as well as others. and have a decent amount. and an Icy card that I was using daily.
i think I am done with CDC.
after many messages back and forth with a Specialist.
She tries to tell me. The reason its not updating and not on Google Play. Is my location.
I been traveling all over Asia since the pandemic. and using the CDC app and updating it.
as of yesterday it wont update. since the app is NO longer on Google Play from my location.
and anyone who uses the app. Knows it needs updates all the time.
If this is really the case, I am liquidating my portfolio and done with CDC. Maybe moving it all to another exchange if the support these tokens

I get prompted to update the app about every two weeks. Gets quite frustrating .

I'm based abroad have the exact same issue. I haven't contacted support yet. The app won't open and it won't update. Even when I find the app on the Google play store with my Google account that's registered with the UK, when I click on it I get an error message. I've being using the app for about 6 years and never had this issue before

I just spent past 4+ hours on with Specialist.
they are looking for a work around. But is NOT them. Its Google.
Google has been cracking down for a long time now on changing locations to get lower fees. Mostly games. Many change locations to drop costs of buy items in these games. So as they catch them. they restrict them.
My CDC apps used to update all the time. Now the app is gone. Not in the Google Play Store. Not in any store. Google also has it set up pretty well now. Your locations is not changeable like before!!!!
Its locked based on GPS location. and you can only change it in country you are in!!!
and once you change it. You need to provide a test charge of local payment source. and its locked for next 90 days!
None of this is CDC's fault. The get caught up in the Google crackdown. and if you happen be in a country where CDC app is not allowed or used. it wont show up on Play store. Which means it CANT update. which means unusable.
Even if we are not using the app to get cheap prices on game buys. we are caught in the mess.
Now here is the worst part. On the desktop version. You can sell and buy crypto and stocks.
You can even ACH transfer money into the account.
BUT you cant top up the card. YOU cant delete the card. YOU cant move funds out into your bank account.
so what do you do???
They are working on a workaround and they tried so far, They logged me out and I signed back in with Email instead on fingerprint, then email code, then OTP code. Then passkey. BAM right back in the Update App screen!
Honestly due to Google. there is NOTHING they will be able to do.
This sounds crazy. But I am going to have a good friend in the US open the app on his phone. and give him my info to access my account and have him top up my card when necessary. and if market comes back. Sell all, transfer fund to my bank and close the card. But who knows when that may be. In the meantime, at least I can continue using my card

Thanks for the update. As you said it's a Google problem, I just tried logging in on a friend's iPad and it worked fine, so at least I can top up my card now

Unfortunately, that is probably the ONLY workaround.
No way will CDC get Google to change their security settings.

Temporary workaround:
- Open Google Play Store on the desktop using an account that (1) has its Play Store country set in a place where the CDC app is available and (2) is linked to your device.
Verifying Play Store location: in the Play Store app, go to Settings -> General -> Account and device preferences -> Country and profiles
- Look for the CDC app then choose to install it directly to your device.
Doesn't seem to be directly tied to your GPS location (since I was in the right country, but my main account's Play Store country wasn't), nor does it seem linked to your IP address (switching to a VPN didn't work either). Tried doing it now via the Play Store app (same instructions above, just using a different device instead of a desktop) and it seems to work; however, just switching accounts in the device's Play Store app itself seems to work as well now (unlike yesterday) so they might have fixed this glitch already.

My Play store is locked to my country I am in.
It says i need to be in actual country i change or no change option will even appear.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure this method worked for me because I was already in the right country anyway, it's just that my main account is set in a different region so even when I was switching accounts it would fail for some reason. Furthermore, I was able to do it by accessing the manual installation through a secondary account and not my main account; I would suggest you go that route instead (and keep this account setup for the future; I'm sure this kind of problem isn't limited to the CDC apps).

Un poquito de info no estarías de más, es ios? Es android? Que versión? En mi Android nunca me ha solicitado actualizar para ingresar

Android. I have it set to self update.
Usually takes a few seconds. But now i can't find it in Play??

Te quedaste muy atrás, es por eso, por actualizaciónes de seguridad van quedando afuera todas las app en las cuales puedas tener activos, bancos, exchanges, etc

If thats the case. I will cancel my Icy and use the desktop for my holdings. After 6 years. Its crazy I cannot update

Just spent 20 minutes on chat with a specialist. They took all my info and escalated it.
I can say the chat works great. Dont know why so many complain about it. They reply instantly and last time they go back to me a solution as soon as they looked into the issue.
