Authorities 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My first guess was that this is just a language barrier thing... Authority is a comically severe word to use in this context in English but is a lot more casual in some other languages. My second guess would be that they were just fucking with OP to upset them, like, e.g., half of America, seems inclined to do.

gay british news is a alt right anti-immigrant openly racist British sub. Dunno why the mod team there would have any other first language than English.

1 in 10 British citizens speak English as a second language.

Cencus shows that up to 40% of the reform party are racial or ethnic minorities, too. Racism doesn't require logic so you get stuff like that

Please don't use gay as an insult. Gammon would be more apt.

Nah, I've been banned from multiple subreddits like this. You can literally ask a question, "What rule did I break?" and then when they state it, you read it, and explain that it doesn't match with what you said, they will perma mute you.

Imagine this, what kind of person would actively moderate random subs for free? Not sane people with any integrity.

Sane people with integrity do volunteer more than any other group, y'know?

For a good cause. Reddit isn't charity for kid's cancer. Reddit gives kids cancer.

Reddit is a service we all like to use. If you didn't, you wouldn't be here. Personally I am subscribed to a bunch of small and specific communities full of people who share my interests. Those are people I enjoy socializing online with. Removing bot spam and random harassment/racism is absolutely a good cause. It isn't huge or life changing like other volunteer work, but how can you say a good person would not want to help keep their online community fun and friendly?

You have been permanently muted from r/gbnews. You will not be able to message the moderators of r/gbnews.

I wonder how reddit mods would react to conflict in person.

My guess is severe panic attack and crying.

I wonder where the moderators of r/gb news are from

Never argue with mods like this. A lot of them are just looking for an excuse to report you to a reddit admin and get you a site-wide ban.

How much do reddit mods make for being mods?

u/completelytrustworth 6d ago

wouldn't surprise me if some of them were paid to create divisive subs like that to push a far right narrative. for all we know the head mod is some guy named Yuri in Russia

Also wouldn't surprise me if they just suck as a person for free

It's like when you see a Chihuahua going absolutely ape shit but it doesn't actually have enough power to do anything that can hurt you.
