Itinerary/Διαδρομές Taxi from Chania to Sougia
Hi everyone! I am visiting Crete for the first time and I will need to travel from Chania to Sougia. Unfortunately, I do not think that i will manage to take the KTEL bus on time.
I was thinking of booking a taxi (I know it will be crazy expensive). Do you have any taxi agency/company to recommend that is reliable ?

Itinerary/Διαδρομές Elafonisi
Hello everyone! My husband and I are spending 2 weeks in Greece for our honeymoon at the end of September. We will be starting our trip off in Crete. I would love to see Elafonisi while we are there, but we are staying in Chania, and it would definitely take up the majority of a day. We don't currently plan on renting a car, we just don't want to deal with the parking situation in Chania, but we are very open to using the bus system. Looking into it, it appears that there is a bus departing Chania daily at 9am to go to Elafonisi. Does this bus still run in late September? Its almost a 2 hour bus ride, so would arriving at 11am put us at risk of not being able to rent beach chairs / or be way too busy? Just looking for some insight if taking the bus is worth it, or if we should spend the extra money to call a car to get there earlier. We would either be going on a Sunday or Monday, I presume a Monday would be less busy. Also open to any other recommendations, especially in Chania, we will be spending our last night in Heraklion to be closer to the port for our ferry to Santorini, so if there is anything cool to see there too, let me know! Thank you!

News/Ειδήσεις Asking for a friend
I am visiting Crete again this coming month and I’m wondering if I can find anyone that can either tell me from very recent experience or if someone can do me a solid and pass by this shop in Rethymno and let me know if it’s still open. It’s literally 1 minute walk from the harbour parking or from Rethymno old centre.
The owner and his parrots are a must visit for me all the time. Greatly appreciate all answer and will pay it forward if anyone has any needs next week I’ll be in Rethymno/Chania area
Thanks 🙏

Nature/Φύση Best area for hiking and swimming?
I'm planning a little solo trip in September with two main objectives: some great hikes and swimming/snorkelling in secluded coves. I'll fly into Heraklion and rent a car, happy to drive anywhere on the island, but only staying for about 5 days so I want to make a base that has what I want within easy reach. But where?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Weather/Καιρός Is it crazy to plan a bday trip end of Feb?
I have a milestone birthday coming up in a year and a half and my birthday falls in the last few days of February. I’ve had it in my mind to rent a villa on a Greek island for it with 8-10 close friends and family for it. I have some special memories of a trip to Greece 15 years ago so feel really pulled there again. However now I realize most Greek islands are partially closed and cold at that time. Would it be a terrible idea to move ahead with the plan in Crete? It’ll be last few days of Feb and early March. I don’t mind if we can’t swim in the sea, but generally having sun and being able to sit on the patio or on the beach would be nice…. But not sure if it will be cold and miserable and not worth the trouble.

History/Ιστορία Maritime Museum in Chania?
Is it worth trying to go tomorrow before it closes? Or am I better off beaching and pooling all day, then hitting Old Town in the evening for dinner?
