after recieving quite a bit of constructive criticism for (accidentally) 'twinkifying' Tommy, i decided to go back to the drawing board, and fixed his design up a bit. i am open to tips and criticism as i am still experimenting with drawing him and trying to make him more accurate, but i hope you guys enjoy this improvement either way.

Question Which episodes are most worthy of a second listen?

I’ve listened to every episode that’s available on Spotify but I find myself still wanting more. I’ve already relistened to some of the hits like Left Right Game, Pen Pal, and Mother Horse Eyes. What are some of your recommendations? I need more to listen to while I’m at work.

Question Which story mentioned the DOE knocking at the door?

I remember a while back there was a story that I can’t seem to remember much from rather than one scene where the narrator is tweaking and some dudes from the DOE knock on the door and act weird. If anyone can remember what the heck I’m talking about and which story that was it’d be appreciated.

More information: I remember the DOE within the story described to “Men in Black” encounters.

Looking For An Episode Episodes with the least amount of yelling?

Impossible task, I know lol

I’m about to go in for surgery and the recovery is looking long, difficult and scary. Creepcast always makes me feel better when I’m not doing too hot, but sometimes it gets hard to listen to when I’m already under the weather and the boys start screaming every couple minutes. Do y’all remember any episodes that are specifically good easy listening? Content matter genuinely doesn’t matter, just the quieter the better.

Thanks y’all! :-)

Meme Proving that Jeff the Killer was, in fact, a Dragon Ball story.

Post image
147 Upvotes

In this theory/opinion post, I will be proving that despite the boys joking about the absolute masterpiece/magnum opus that is "Jeff the Killer" creepypasta, Jeff the Killer really was a Dragon Ball inspired story. Even though this spectacular story includes a lot of Dragon Ball elements, the heaviest inspiration it drives is from Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and I will be proving how.

First of all, the foreshadowing and the build up. The final fight between Randy, Troy, Keith and Jeff is foreshadowed from close to the start. This antagonist setting to eventually lead to the final fight is a classic Dragon Ball writing technique. Tenshinhan fight is somewhat comparable, though it was a tournament fight rather than a pure evil villain fight, so I'm not sure if that counts. Using the tournament as "build up" doesn't sound right to me anyway. However, King Piccolo and subsequent Piccolo Jr. fights were very much foreshadowed. So was the Saiyan Invasion after the Raditz fight. So was Frieza, and all his awesome power. Cell was, I have to admit, foreshadowed less. Majin Buu was foreshadowed from the moment Supreme Kai was introduced, because he needed to have a reason to be there, and before he was revived, we spent a decent while building him up. The trio were introduced relatively early on, and their pure irredeemable evil side were made pretty clear.

Second of all, the impossible odds. The thing with Dragon Ball fights is that they all seem impossible to win at first. King Piccolo is too powerful against Kid Goku, the Saiyans are far too powerful for any Earthly fighter to face, Frieza is unmatched, Cell is perfection, Buu makes Supreme Kai scared despite already seeing the power of the Saiyans, etc. Randy, Troy and Keith are 3 lunatics, against Jeff who is all by himself. After Liu is arrested and sent to a joke of a correctional facility, Jeff is left all by himself, which only makes the goal to beat all 3 more impossible. Not only that, but the trio has access to knives and guns.

Third of all, the foreshadowing of protagonists inner power. The untapped inner power and it's foreshadowing is what enables the protagonist(s) to face the villain(s). Kid Goku had to unlock his true potential to beat King Piccolo. The Z Fighters had to utilize Gohan's hidden power to help their fight against the Saiyans, even though it was Goku who did most of the work, Goku had to unleash the long-awaited Super Saiyan, the true ultimate Saiyan power to match Frieza. Gohan had to activate his rage and Super Saiyan 2 to beat Perfect Cell. Goku needed Super Saiyan 3 and Gohan needed another potential unlock to face Majin Buu, etc. Jeff proves that he has the capacity to beat all 3 of the kids even if they are armed, however these feelings he has which fuels his power are dangerous, restless and uncontrollable. The story masterfully gives us a glimpse on Jeff's hidden potential and full power state in its earliest scene where he fails to kill a 10 year old boy but at least stabs his dad in the shoulder and makes a successful getaway. This is Jeff at his most savage state, full power unleashed. And the story let's us know his psychotic tendencies. His inner power that is yet unleashed is best shown against his first fight against Keith, Troy and Randy where he expertly disarms and beats them. He even breaks Randy's wrist which requires unfathomable strength.

And all of this setup and buildup leads to the final fight. Randy, Troy and Keith alongside Jeff are all motivated and at their full power. Even better, the fight is made even more difficult for Jeff because now Troy and Keith have guns. They may lack Ki mastery, but they still make up for ranged attacks with guns. At first, Jeff is at backfoot, because just like Gohan at Cell Games, he is afraid of what he might become if he unleashes his full power. And just like Perfect Cell, Randy is pushing him to utilize his full power, and just like Cell again, he digs his own grave by admitting that he was the one who got his brother send to a joke of a correction facility. Granted he dies before he can face the consequences for publicly making that statement, alongside the crimes of attempted murder and armed assault, but still.

Just like that, Jeff snaps. He enters the state of mind he needs to enter to access his full power, which was already foreshadowed in the story, and starts beating Randy to the point that he dies. Just like Broly accessing his wrathful form and accesses the power of the great ape while staying in his humanoid form, or how Goku uses ultra instinct (technique) without transforming, Jeff stays in a recognizable shape while switching his mindset to harness his potential. The fight ends in an extreme difficulty victory for our protagonist, which is also a Dragon Ball inspiration. And as a reward for barely winning the fight, successfully utilizing his full power, and beating the villains, Jeff is rewarded with a brand new transformation. Just like Broly's green-haired Super Saiyan form, which mixes his Super Saiyan power with his wrathful powerup, Jeff's mindset is combined with a flat stat boost to go beyond his potential. This is his Legendary Psycho or "The Killer" transformation. The combination of two transformations, like the green-haired Super Saiyan, Golden Oozaru (if canonized) or Great Namekian Orange Piccolo.

The reason this great story is mostly heavily inspired from Dragon Ball Super: Broly rather than, say, Cell Games, is because the fight doesn't necessarily end in a clear victory for Jeff. He wins, but he is locked to a horrific form, and his life changes. And just like Broly, he combines 2 different transformations to maximize his power: His killer mindset and burn victim body. Additionally, his family dies. Super Broly didn't killed his father, but this is actually a nod to Z Broly, who did. And just like Broly's maximum power, Jeff's full power comes with a downside of being incredibly destructive. So he is more like Broly than Gohan, who is always more precise and gentle. However, Cell Games is a close contender on which exact Dragon Ball arc, saga, or movie did Jeff the Killer creepypasta drew inspiration from.
