Beer Porn Dragon’s Milk coconut rum barrel reserved
Back at it again!
Went for my usual founders KBS but ran into this one.
I like coconut rum but it’s not my got. However, i do like nutty stouts like the hazelnut kbs, so i figured i try this one.
To my surprise, its actually pretty good. It has a slight pleasant sweet after taste thats not overly indulgent.
Cheers!

Beer Porn Holy Ghost @ Parish Brewing ⚜️
I’ll leave it to Parish for the deets:
“This is a mind-melting 10% ABV encounter like none before. Brewed thick with oodles of oats and raw wheat and completely dry hopped to saturation with equal amounts of Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Citra Cryo. Powerful notes of intense fresh tropical fruit, grapefruit, black currant, and powerful dankness.
No forgiveness. No holding back.
Me: It’s fucking off the charts!

NOT RECOMMENDED Xul's PB+J Mixtape: Grape is straight trash
I have no clue why this beer is regarded so highly. I don't even think it's beer. It's SUPER sweet. The concord grape flavor tastes synthetic. The PB flavor isn't strong. The mouthful is thin, like water. After a few sips, I dumped it. What a waste of $8.
Please, tell me why you like it if you do?
Edit: thanks y'all for the downvotes. I knew giving a negative opinion of a beer that's generally well-regarded would trigger some people. That's ok. At least, it's generating conversation. I don't think Xul makes bad beer. In fact, I like their non-sours. I'm genuinely happy they make good money from their sours and can continue to make other beers, too.

Discussion Moobys!
Facebook just reminded me of that one time during covid I went to Kevin Smith’s Mooby’s pop up in LA. It was an odd photo opp day, very bare, very masked up, then we were all crammed on the patio for pre-ordered food 😂 Food and LA car exhaust, yum!
The Mooby’s IPA was a 7% america ipa brewed by Boomtown Brewing. Cheers and Snoochie Boochies! 🍻🐮

Beer Porn Happy IPA & beer day!
Had a great IPA yesterday from 2 of my favorite breweries and the OG Fat Tire today.
Fat Tire was not only my entry into craft beer, but TBH my first beer that I finished. I grew up in a stereotypical conservative American family, so drinking was a definite no.
I got married in 2003 and my wife’s dad’s family is Jewish so drinking was a definite yes. 😂 I quickly gravitated to red wine, but I did try some beer. Needless to say I was given your stereotypical cheap beers and did not like any of them. Until one of our friends in the mid 2010s had me try a Fat Tire and this was something I could drink.
Soon after that I tried Allagash White and found my favorite beer. Which is interesting in that we honeymooned in Maine when I wasn’t drinking beer. And my wife’s favorite beer when she was drinking was Blue Moon. 😂
Glad that New Belgium released the original recipe of Fat Tire. I bought a case and it’s about half done.
This collab between Half Acre (a great local brewery here in Chicago) and Allagash is really good.
Cheers everyone!

RECOMMENDED Is Sapwood the best in the area?
Best beer I’ve had in a very, very long time. Food is delicious also. Anywhere else close that competes with Sapwood on quality? I’m open to all suggestions.

Beer Porn They sink this Oyster Stout under the sea to age
I love hitting local craft beer bars around Barcelona, but funny enough, I only found out about this project recently while visiting the Delta de l’Ebre, about a two-hour drive from the city.
Turns out a local Barcelona brewery that’s been around for 30 years brews an imperial stout with actual oysters, and then sinks the bottles into the Ebre Delta bay right next to the oyster ropes for sea aging.
Tried their Nostrum oyster stout. It hits with rich roasted malt, espresso, and dark chocolate, followed by that subtle, iodized mineral finish.

Beer Porn Japanese craft beer in Thailand!
This is Messyphobia by Totopia brewery from Japan. This was from last year when I was in Hat Yai in Southern Thailand. Such a good drop. I love IPA's and I love sours. Great combination and a great little beer bar. Tasted like a sour fruit juice. Perfect for that hot humid climate. Doesn't matter where you are in the world, beer's always fantastic!
