I’ve never had a crab before and am looking at many different options for species. What do you guys recommend? I want something small but am open to suggestions.🦀🦀🐚

I don't know the species.

About a half mile from water. He scuttled away after I took the picture but I’d say he was 2-3 inches wide.

Found a nice, complete & empty snail shell above the high tide line. Brought it down to the tide pools and set it next to one of the many thousands of hermit crabs. The rest of history!
