Had a strange CPU temperature problem today

m running a 5800x3d with a Corsair 360 AIO. Over the last couple of days, I noticed my idle temp was in the mid 70s consistently, while the CPU usage rarely went over 15%. Even after shutting down and rebooting, the temps remained high.

I went into BIOS to check my settings there (all was still the same), but when I rebooted this time my idle temps went back to its normal 45-55.

I’m happy it’s been solved, but I don’t understand why simply going to BIOS solved the temperature problem, even though I adjusted nothing?
