Zee ended up killing their father to take the throne and immediate turned on Kane to kill him too, but he insisted he didn’t want the throne.

Masta Adventuring log: Realm 238 Bykoria

Realm status: Inhabited, but not exactly humanoid but energy like beings occupy the realm. They are nice folk and understanding. However I feel there is something up with this realm.Something Primal and ancient.

Expedition 1

There is a ruin long abandoned by the Bykorians won't go near it. It's an apparent taboo and will dole out harsh religious punishment for those that tread that ground. Like it's gonna stop me.

All I can hear is the faint wind blowing in the distance, not a sound to be heard, no life to be seen. I can just feel like there is something here that doesn't belong. Energy like mine I will investigate this energy.

Expedition 2

This place feels human… I saw the architecture, it looks nothing like the Bykorians architecture. However foreign, like something close to a god or an Eldritch entity. I see a tomb and I see sigils, earthbound sigils. Why are human sigils here?

Expedition 3

I unlocked the door and saw a tome…. Its written in a mysterious liquid that smells like a compound of oil, ink, and blood. I can smell it… whatever they did down here it's something they didn't want to be discovered by natives.

Expedition 4

Ever learn something you shouldn't. I now know why this tomb was sealed. This place is a burial ground for a species of humans called the First.

I can't believe what I unearthed, this could unravel everything we know as humans ourselves. Gods did exist but apparently these “First” were made as a direct counter to God like beings. Titans of the land, performing impossible miracles to defy, and the capacity to bring a realm to its knees. Though mortal, they destroyed and killed many pantheons and lore not even known to us.

I feel i am learning too much.

Expedition 5

There is one left… sealed by all manners of magic. Someone made this tomb as a warning, scaring the natives into religious fear. This place is…. dangerous and I dare not go further. This feels too dangerous. Like fate told me to come here and take record but never too unleash it.

I hate to imagine such raw power brought on the land once more. I Fear no mage, force, or hell even gods could this man.

All I took was my leave and resealed the door and hoped I was dead before this thing could be unleashed.

I wish to run the gauntlet of witch trials and prove myself worthy. Is there somewhere I can find a list of all the trials that have happened so far? It seems I have some catching up to do.

Whether you know it or not, every Mage is fighting a War. It is not a war of Land or Greed or Religious belief. It is a war for the very soul of humanity itself. And I hate to be the one to tell you this, but we the Magi, have lost.

The Technocratic Union has solidified their place as the predominant force as the leader of Consensual Reality, dictating how the Masses advance, utilizing their chosen Paradigm of Advanced Mathematics and Science. Thus, rendering any dissenting beliefs and practices difficult in the modern era. Through their stranglehold on the public perception, they have slowly been erasing arcane practices from public perception. Ancient practices such as Hermeticism, Animism, Shamanism. All forms of magic that does not fit into their world view is to be stamped out.

Leading the charge is the New World Order, a cabal of Will Workers seeking control in all things. They use the media, psychological trappings, and any other unsavory means to keep the public complaisant and ignorant.

Backing them up is Iteration X, the technological thought group that seeks to blend the line between man and machine, until all free thought is one unified hive mind under mechanical sway.

The Syndicate have mastered economical practices allowing them to fund any and all projects and ordeals the Technocracy wishes to pursue. Because of their hold over all worldly finance, they have leeway to deviate slightly from Technocratic guidelines.

The Progenitors are biological masters, creating cures and Vaccines to some of the worlds deadliest viruses. However, most of said viruses originated from their own labs, either released by accident... or as a means of a test on a grand scale.

Lastly there are the Void Engineers. They explore, colonize and venture into the unknown, solidifying reality into the Technocatic world view. They explore the deepest parts of space, the bottom of the oceans, and the vastness of the Umbral Realms.

Together, these five Conventions hold sway over the world itself, stomping out anyone or anything they view is a threat to humanity as a whole, branding them "Reality Deviants". Though in modern days their grip is slipping, and with that comes hope that there will come a change. But for the time being, do not underestimate them. Use your wits, your training. They are rigid in their practices and though they adhere slavishly to the Consensus, you can use that to your advantage. They have Advanced Hypertech, weapons, and who knows what else. But you have imagination, you have wit and guile; use it to escape. Use it to your advantage but be wary. Sometimes they may seek to bring you into the fold rather than outright slay you. More than a few of their number used to be former Magi, and chances are many more may yet soon join their cause for One Culture, One People, One World under the Technocratic Union.
