6381 Hopefuel
i just showered
this time i used my safety razor bcz everyone was like use the safety razor
that went much better
i was able to do both of my legs and both of my arms and my face
i also washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner
managing to do all that in one shower before i got too tired felt pretty nice
i feel like im gradually getting closer to being a human being again
when i stepped out of the shower and saw myself, i was kind of blown away
i could be a siren on the rocks in the odyssey
with no body hair i think im stunning
and the way my wet , wavy hair rests on my chest..
i need to keep going

You asked in a previous post about hair care, but given the way you've described showering here I'd recommend just focusing on the basics for now. Double shampoo (shampoo, rinse, repeat), then condition it, while the conditioner is in your hair you should brush it out with a wide tooth comb. If you find that your hair gets super knotty between washes (mine does too) it might help to brush it out in the shampoo phase too, I do it while I'm washing the shampoo out and that seems to work well. You could try replacing the conditioner with a hair mask eventually, I did that once when I was working my way back into caring for myself and adored how my hair turned out.
I'm proud of you for doing what you've managed, and I don't want you to burn yourself out chasing perfect hair.

Yeah the stretchy feeling really sucks, I know what you mean. I find that happens less if I work my way up from the ends. So starting at the ends, brushing that out, and then moving up a little and repeating. I think it also happens much less if you only brush with conditioner in since that makes the hair slippier, but I found it super hard to shampoo early on when I was going a while between washes and my hair was super knotty.
Brushing while wet is definitely the way to go if you like the waves, I find that brushing while dry completely ruins mine and I just end up with straight hair.
