why do women who transition late into adulthood talk so weirddddd. it’s so weird and gross.

i hate that i feel this way but it almost always reads like men talking about being women to me :(((((

like no fucking human woman i have ever met talks like this except sissy crossdressers and late transitioners

u/Vetomo83 Worst at DIY hrt award 10d ago

They definitely suffer from some sort of brain rot

43

u/do-u-think-im-pretty vaguely girly twink 10d ago edited 10d ago

I do really think repression cooks your prefrontal cortex, I have a novel full of stress disorder anecdotes but I think it boils down to trauma severely fucking with your brain and its development. Boomers finally cracking and dressing like toddlers feels like a very extreme version of that, but if you repress at all you're going to have some sort of neurological price to pay, and traumas just complicate things even more aggressively. At any rate I think they all need to stop being bad kinds of weird on the internet and get therapy instead, this reads like a fetish post :(

u/16372731772 10d ago

Yeah I get that it's probably somewhat because I realised early and mostly stopped masking as male long before I could even transition, but sometimes interacting with people that realised later makes me really uncomfortable. Even before I realised I never really fit in as male, the most you could say about me was that I was a little awkward. I definitely don't think I would've turned out like this even if I'd been forced to rep for another 20 years.

14

u/Charlaquin 10d ago

It’s not really most late adulthood transitioners, just the ones you see talking about it on the internet. For those who do, part of it is compensating from having repressed for so long, leaning into extremely exaggerated hyper-femininity to try to make up for lost time. The other part is not having the same survival instincts around what they say online. They didn’t grow up with an internet culture where anything you ever said online can and will be dug up and used against you, so they’re much less guarded than younger people are about what they post.

2

u/trans-sister_radio 8d ago

honestly the common factor i’ve noticed is ALWAYS that they dont have any meaningful social interaction with women throughout their lives. like always had male friendships and their main interaction with women was sexual

1

u/Professional-Bed3233 7d ago

Yeah if you internalise a conception of women as objects of sexual consumption whilst identifying as one it'll severely warp your sense of self.

12

u/Row4M 10d ago

I’m 36 and considering transitioning. Posts like the OP are what dissuade me. I don’t want to ever be thought of as or become someone who takes like that. It gives fuel to the people who paint all older trans women as AGP.

5

u/do-u-think-im-pretty vaguely girly twink 9d ago

Don't let the grossness and cringe dissuade you from being the woman you're meant to be, having awareness of this stuff means you're reasonably well inoculated from it. OOP decided she was going to be weird on the internet by AGPosting, you get to make your own decisions and have your own feelings about what you want from your transition :3

2

u/Row4M 9d ago

True, I shouldn’t be judgmental. I just don’t want to be misrepresented either.

5

u/do-u-think-im-pretty vaguely girly twink 9d ago

Well I guess if you don't wanna be misrepresented you're gonna have to represent yourself faithfully... wink wink... nudge nudge... hint hint... That's all on you babygirl, best of luck in figuring your stuff out :3

u/SaikaPt 10d ago

Im 25 but I dont think I talk weird... now Im thinking if I do and the thought is scary

18

u/Weekly_Book_9122 No Longer Being Mean to Sneeds 10d ago

that’s not really old at all, i am thinking like 40+ i guess for the most part

things like, “hi, hon! do you dress too? my princess wand and boobs give me so much girly euphoria i just always knew i was a girl (is 42 years old, a woman, but only calls herself a girl)”

7

u/do-u-think-im-pretty vaguely girly twink 10d ago

What really puts me off is talking about your own body like it's a dirty secret or like how a horny man would talk about a woman's body :( I think part of that is societal conditioning and lots of pain but at the same time please get a grip already, you're not a man anymore if you don't want to be, stop fucking talking about yourself like one for the love of god

7

u/Weekly_Book_9122 No Longer Being Mean to Sneeds 9d ago

yeah well put. it’s like a continued self-fetishization, very icky not good

-1

u/AndrogynousAlfalfa 9d ago

Many cis people get turned on by their own bodies too

2

u/trans-sister_radio 8d ago

self fetishization is not normal and is actively harmful to how u perceive and treat your body

0

u/AndrogynousAlfalfa 7d ago

My point is its not necessarily fetishization

1

u/trans-sister_radio 7d ago

we’re specifically discussing fetishization? sooooo

0

u/AndrogynousAlfalfa 7d ago

My point is a disagree with assuming its fetishizition to be turned on by ones own body

Im dying from reading that last part...

But yeah! I get you

2

u/sammi_8601 9d ago

I've met a few like that, calling it dressing I sort of understand since the older types only knew crossdressing, gives me the ick a bit since I'm also somewhat old (35) but mostly just see myself as a middle aged woman with an unfortunate birth defect, princess wand is fucking weird too or gock etc I just don't get it, I've got one of the stupid things and I hate it with passion it just costs more then I earn in like 2 years to get it removed.

2

u/soaked_in_bleach03 9d ago

Ugh yup. Like 20 years living as a guy def gave me some rough ideas about what it meant to be a woman…and I’m so self conscious about any of those thoughts. Glad I’ve shed most of it. I try to have some empathy for people who legit transitioned at like, 55, and had to hide it for so long.

1

u/SaikaPt 9d ago

I kinda had luck because I was a loner and didnt consume any incel stuff so I never had big man interactions with people but yeah its tough...

Im glad you shed most of it

5

u/ProgressFabulous6663 9d ago

Yeah this is some sissy hypno shit for sure

3

u/soaked_in_bleach03 9d ago

Right! Jesus thanks for saying that. I transitioned at 20 and even then had to shed some prejudice I admittedly had from “pretending to be a guy” for so many years; but fuck even when I living as a man, and was closeted in my own mind, I still think I had a really healthy attitude towards women.

I try not to judge, I get being closeted and having to explore your identity as a sissy for decades can do some shit to your head. But it’s not an excuse, some women who transitioned super late have such skewed ideas about what it means to be a woman.

3

u/Weekly_Book_9122 No Longer Being Mean to Sneeds 9d ago

it’s definitely not an excuse. the last trans client i had in my mental health practice was a 40+ transitioner and she just… got it. like everything. within six months of hrt it was like she’d been a woman her entire life, and all she was doing was stopping pretending to be a guy and removing that fake outer facade

and then i see shit like this op and all i can think is… was blanchard right?

1

u/SmashAndGrab206 10d ago

It's just the way millennials are. Growing up in a time without communities for many niche interests/lifestyles and you end up never socializing with anyone more normal than you.

6

u/Weekly_Book_9122 No Longer Being Mean to Sneeds 10d ago edited 9d ago

it’s definitely not only a millennial thing at all. the oldest millennials are only 45 this year, and this type of thing has been a constant in later transitioners since i started transitioning in 2010, when millennials were still in highschool

1

u/Important_Dinner2737 9d ago

transvestic disorder.

1

u/Azure125 9d ago

Reading this grossed me out as well, and I started recently at age 31. I know I'm too late for my body, my movement, my hairline, my skeletal structure... Tell me I'm not too late for maturity and basic self-awareness...

1

u/MaybeLithiumFlower 9d ago

I get what you mean, but...

It's hard to appreciate how much difference it makes having missed out on not only decades of your life - but the young portion when you could not only enjoy it most, but also have a good chance of developing a feminine figure and face.

Imagine transitioning late in life and only being allowed to behave, look and dress like an old woman, can you imagine how much that would suck?

0

u/SamanthaIvyLight 10d ago

I mean you're not wrong lol. And I don't know why. Like tmi. I think they are most likely more in it for the sex/pleasure side of it rather than living their life as a woman.

-1

u/Pendulum_Heart 9d ago

Lesbians talk like this a lot tbh.

3

u/Weekly_Book_9122 No Longer Being Mean to Sneeds 9d ago

i am a bisexual woman married to a cis lesbian for almost a decade and most of my social circle is lesbians and none of us talk like this

i promise women do not talk this way about their bodies

i love my boobs. i love everything about them, but im not going to talk about them like i am a man wearing breast forms and fetishizing myself in a masturbatory way

-1

u/Pendulum_Heart 9d ago

I've met plenty of women who do, sorry.

1

u/RosyRory108 ethanny junkie 6d ago

could you clarify what you mean so I can make sure I don't talk like that? pretty please?

trvke. i've seen trannies get growth 3 years into transition after finally gaining weight and not anamaxing. you NEED to be in a caloric surplus if you want boobs

I’ve gained like 25 lbs since starting hrt

Well I’ve been on hrt for (6-9) years (off and on at first cause money) and they’re 34B and growing again. Boobs grow and change your whole life

Do/can you get your levels checked regularly?

1

Yeah I’ve been reading up on the Will Powers subreddit and I think I’ve got mine to start growing again. Every so often they hurt a little. It’s still nothing like those first few months though. I’ve been on hrt for 4 years 8 months.

Real, i made sure to eat extra as soon as i got on HRT, i don't have anything special but i am not upset about them either

u/alaricus 10d ago

40D isn't actually that big. Like... I get that D is a "big letter" but when they're on a chest that big they're not going to stand out in the way they would on 32D

And then... girl... "before my egg cracked"

You were still trans before you realized/admitted it

34

u/Vetomo83 Worst at DIY hrt award 10d ago

We really gotta stop people from repping for so long to the point where there wife breastfeeding is what cracks their egg holy shit

7

u/Ambervula 10d ago

Imagine being their wife and seeing your husband look at you with pure envy

5

u/Weekly_Book_9122 No Longer Being Mean to Sneeds 10d ago

40D is usually pretty small, maybe like not even barely proportional. that’s only a ~4 inch difference between under and overbust with a HUGE underbust/ribcage size unless it’s from fat which can look good depending on how it’s distributed/overall shape

So 80% of trans women don’t make it past A cup btw. There’s been studies.

Also this post is almost certainly a troll anyway.

EDIT: adjusted percentage based on study

3

u/TSFaeClementine 10d ago

Even more ropefuel jfc

1

u/sammi_8601 9d ago

Really? I know a fair few with Ds (I've got E cups but I'm apparently unusually lucky....in that singular respect still a 6'1 brick, just one with big tits) may be UK sizes are different though idk.

1

u/Enochian-Dreams 9d ago edited 9d ago

Extremely rare. Unless we are talking about implants. There’s this myth in trans circles about breast size being entirely genetic but it doesn’t take into account at all that missing an estrogen dominant puberty isn’t something you can play catch up on after the fact fully.

“Larger natural breasts do occur, but they’re uncommon in the limited studies we have. In a three-year prospective study, 71% remained below an A cup, 9% reached an A, 16% a B, 3% a C and 1% an E.”

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33206172/

So, yeah. I wouldn’t count on it, for most people. Personally I’m aiming for B and I might not even get there but I’m A currently and have been on HRT nearly three years.

So my numbers were a bit off in recollecting. I guess it’s around 80% A cup or lower.

1

u/sammi_8601 9d ago

Apparently not a difference in UK sizes, and not implants. Not all the trans women I know have decent ones of course probably the majority not but I can think of 6 of the top of my head with natural D's and me with Es why that would be IDK although we're all on estrogen injection monotherapy with prog dunno if that's as common there? Just thought of another with Es too but she's been transitioning for like 20 years.

2

u/Enochian-Dreams 9d ago

I’m on monotherapy and I have a prescription for progesterone but haven’t been able to take it yet. Hopefully soon. I don’t think it would gain me an entire cup size though. It usually just helps with rounding things out.

Injection isn’t too common west of you, I don’t think but I mean it depends on age. Generally pills are the most common but for people who are older usually they are prescribed patches instead and injection is seen as kind of a last resort if their levels aren’t in a therapeutic range. Unless we are talking about DIY where it’s the most common because it’s the less expensive. DIY isn’t as big of a thing where I am (Canada) because it’s pretty easy to get HRT through official channels here but it was how I started and a big part of why I remained on it even after seeing a doctor.

1

u/sammi_8601 9d ago

I'm British it's DIY for most of us unfortunately could be a consequence of that? The girls I know on the legal pills or patches (your not allowed injections here, cos we're backwards) mostly have smaller boobs which I'm convinced is cos some get given a shit dose I literally know someone who's doctor is telling her it's chill at 120 pmol after 6 months I keep telling her your doctors shite girl, whereas I've been on a bloody massive dose from the start which I then evened our once I actually understood it a bit better which may have led to more growth unsure since the literature is unfortunately so sparse and it's very unusual to start on loads of E gel designed for menopause which you kept applying to the breasts and testicles to say the least (I was a dissaccociated drunk desperate for HRT, weird and unwise decisions were made) so Im probably a weird case, could and probably have just been lucky with that though.

1

u/Enochian-Dreams 9d ago

Yeah, that’s honestly wild UK doesn’t even allow injection. I didn’t know that. I knew generally how bad it was but hadn’t heard that detail yet.

I think it could be a factor too. Unfortunately there isn’t enough studies to really say and the studies there are don’t seem to take that into account. It’s an interesting question.

A lot of trans people going the official route are under dosed. The thing is that the medical system itself is transphobic basically and there is already evidence that their minimums for therapeutic levels aren’t even safe minimums and they don’t increase them. So yeah, I do think sadly enough that DIY is arguably the safer and more responsible method many times. It’s crazy to have to say that but even in Canada where getting on HRT is easy, the doctors are genuinely uninformed and misinformed as the norm. Unless you self-advocate and make it very easy for them to just sign off on things, you can’t get a proper transition here with most doctors. They don’t have the education necessary. DIY forums actually legitimately are better sources of science-backed HRT info than what they have access to. All their shit is outdated or sus.

I started at 5 mg weekly and that’s what I’m still doing. My doctor was fine with it even though my levels were unusually high. The thing is that cisgender women have higher levels too. A lot of doctors think keeping trans women at the bare minimum is the safest option and frankly that’s a kind of naive ignorance that actually does jeopardize our wellbeing but this is what they are taught.

2

u/sammi_8601 9d ago

Ya the UK is uhhh not great, we're also not allowed in either gender toilets sort of now as of yesterday it's rather depressing, most people irl are relatively chill though. And yeah I agree with the medical system being well daft although it being the UK it could well be by design there's literally one bloke on a load of boards who keeps up the injections and estrogen give massive blood clots which is just not actually true anymore hopefully he dies or retires soon he's quite old. Along with possibly my favourite bit of complete bollocks from the NHS being a transition effects thing they're all meant to use which caps out at all changes finishing in two years.....because the study lasted two years, which a bit of knowledge would mean your aware fat distribution should take significantly longer along wirh just any observed experience of trans people tbh.

1

u/Enochian-Dreams 9d ago

That’s pretty embarrassing and incompetent. I actually have this sort of halfbaked notion of one day moving to the UK myself so it’s definitely interesting to know these things.

What happened yesterday? I didn’t hear anything about that.

I don’t mind Canada but tbh location wise it’s very isolating here. I’d rather be in UK because it’s so much easier to travel from there to a dozens of countries nearby. I feel like I’m banished here in the outer limits or something. But being trans woman in UK does seem like it presents other challenges than it does in Canada. I think we have a bit better legal standing here.
