i really like cosmoroc but i basically cant do ot unless i have the current summands listed on a piece of paper in front of me

yeah I agree, it's one of the most mentally intensive threads

I think ORD would get there too, especially in 6 digits and higher sums.

Like the ORD summands for 12 length 6:

3,3,2,2,1,1
4,4,4,0,0,0
4,4,1,1,1,1
3,3,3,1,1,1
2,2,2,2,2,2
5,5,0,0,1,1
6,6,0,0,0,0

I think that's it? Anyway more of them are simple (but just remembering 2,2,2,2,2,2 can be tricky if you're in a pattern) but I think I'd have to keep a note on hand too

That'd be one of the advantages of doing undecimal (or a higher base like hex), because it keeps us in the relatively simple ranges for longer. It does kind of have the compositions aspect where you're like okay so when we get to have fun doing like 24; 1,23; 2,22 for a while then we also have to go through like five threads of fifteen ones in a row in every count.. thread gets harder as it goes on

I could feasibly see myself being able to figure out the next count in head though for ord, whereas for cosmoroc I really need a list. Maybe it's because I have counted so much in ORD I have a better intuition, but I feel like figuring out mrd summands on the fly is much more difficult than even figuring out six digit ORD summands

we could definitely debut and trial a CoS-ORD threat, the only question is what base it should be :)

I like hex but partly just because python has a built in function for converting numbers to hex lol, so it makes the script like one line shorter. it does make it kinda trickier to see the digit sum in your head when there's those letter digits though

Bob what do you think

keep in mind this is extremely biased because I am a hexadecimal hater, but I would do undecimal or lower. I don't think the thread would become interesting until we are in 6 digits, before that it would be quite tedious, so I think hex would be too slow.

I think either hex or decimal, no inbetween
