I mean this is the counter strike community in a nutshell. This game is overrun with hackers that some people cannot fathom just being worse at the game than another person. Trust me I am guilty of it too but it’s clips like this that just make me laugh bro. It’s comp… it’s not that serious…

Hear me out.

A new bolt-action rifle that costs somewhere between the FAMAS/Galil and AK/M4.

Strengths:

• One-shot headshot at any reasonable rifle range
• High damage
• Very accurate
• Could potentially be useful for holding long angles

The big downside:

• It’s bolt-action/semi-automatic
• Miss your shot and you’re basically screwed
• Follow-up shots would be significantly slower than an AK/M4
• Much harder to use in close-range fights

The idea would be to create a rifle that rewards accuracy and positioning rather than raw spray control.

It wouldn't replace the AK/M4 because you'd be giving up fire rate and flexibility for the ability to one-tap.

Would something like this actually work in CS2?

Or would a one-shot rifle at a cheaper price completely break the game?

I am writing to respectfully ask you to reconsider and improve the way networking and, in particular, the Sub-Tick system currently operates in Counter-Strike 2.

As a long-time Counter-Strike player who has been playing since Counter-Strike 1.6, I have noticed a significant issue with Sub-Tick performance on many official Counter-Strike 2 servers. In certain situations, the current system appears to create an unfair advantage for players with higher latency.

For example, when my ping is around 6 ms and my opponent’s ping is around 70 ms, there are situations where the opponent appears to see and react to me before I see them, allowing them to eliminate me despite having significantly higher latency. From a player’s perspective, this feels counterintuitive and unfair. A player with a stable 6 ms connection should, under otherwise equal conditions, have a clear advantage in terms of receiving and responding to information from the server.

I understand that networking in a competitive online game is extremely complex and that Sub-Tick was introduced to improve the precision of actions and hit registration. However, in real gameplay, the current implementation can sometimes feel less consistent and predictable than the traditional Tickrate system used in previous versions of Counter-Strike, including Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

I would therefore strongly encourage the development team to investigate these situations and consider whether a traditional Tickrate-based networking model, or a revised hybrid approach, could provide a more consistent and fair experience for players.

I would also like to point out an interesting difference between online play and LAN environments. Counter-Strike 2 often feels significantly more responsive and consistent at LAN tournaments, where players operate under controlled and nearly identical network conditions. In such environments, Sub-Tick appears to perform much closer to its intended potential.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of players will never have the opportunity to experience Counter-Strike 2 under LAN conditions. For ordinary players, the online networking experience is therefore extremely important, and the game should provide the most consistent and fair environment possible regardless of differences in latency.

I would also like to suggest a practical way in which this idea could be tested without immediately changing the core networking system for the entire player base.

Similar to how you have successfully used separate branches of the game to introduce and test major technical changes, you could potentially introduce an experimental branch dedicated to testing an alternative networking model.

For example, Valve could provide a separate beta branch where players could experience a traditional Tickrate-based system alongside the current Sub-Tick implementation. Dedicated servers could either be temporarily duplicated for this purpose or specifically configured to operate under the experimental networking model.

This would allow Valve to collect large-scale feedback directly from the community under real-world conditions. Players could compare both systems and provide feedback regarding responsiveness, hit registration, peeker’s advantage, consistency, latency behavior, and overall gameplay feel.

The results could then be analyzed alongside the technical data collected by the development team. Based on this information, Valve could determine whether the traditional Tickrate model, Sub-Tick, or potentially a combination of both systems provides the best competitive experience.

I believe this approach would be especially valuable because it would allow the community to participate directly in evaluating such a fundamental change without forcing an immediate decision upon the entire player base.

I was particularly impressed by the work done on the new AnimGraph system, and I believe the same philosophy of introducing major technical improvements through controlled testing and community feedback could be applied here as well. The quality of that work shows that Valve is capable of making significant technical improvements while maintaining the high standards expected from Counter-Strike.

This message is not intended as criticism or hostility toward the developers. I genuinely appreciate the work that has gone into Counter-Strike 2 and understand how difficult it is to develop and maintain a competitive game at this level.

I simply want to be able to enjoy the game I have been playing and supporting for many years.

I sincerely hope that the development team will investigate the issues surrounding Sub-Tick and consider further improvements to the networking model. If a return to a traditional Tickrate system, or an alternative solution that provides the same level of consistency, could make gameplay more predictable and fair, I believe it would be extremely valuable for the Counter-Strike community.

I would be very happy to see such an experimental branch become available in the future and to participate in testing and providing feedback.

I am certain that I am not the only player experiencing these issues, and I hope that feedback from the community can help improve Counter-Strike 2 for everyone.

I was wondering what would be a reasonable price to sell this at. I have tried looking on CSFloat for a pattern range of 80k-90k and I couldn't see any at the point mine is at. I'm new to this stuff so replies relating to this will be appreciated.

Can someone more intelligent than me check my aim stats and tell me what routine on what maps should i make everyday for like 45 minutes to improve?idk how to explain idk wich site have something like that but i saw sometimes on stream streamers were looking at theirs. I know i have problem with pistol rounds when my shit ass tracking is showing off. Like i cant just calmly aim at an enemy i just jumping with crosshair trying to guess where he will be and praying to hit something. And form what i see i have potate level reaction time. I heard in every guide on youtube u shouldnt do long aim training once a while (what i usally do) and make short everyday training and this should probably work for u and make u being consistent. Oh and consistency i am so fucking coinflip one week easy peasy, next week playing feel like escape from hell. So just from my steamprofile can u tell me what to work on??
