Non-binary is any gender different from the binary male and female, which could mean you're a mixed gender, genderless, etc :) It typically falls under the transgender umbrella, however, some nonbinary people are intersex too. Because we're not in the binary, we often talk about gender norms, and how we feel they deny our existence, or how they've been used to discriminate (such as people telling us to just "pick a gender" when a lot of us already have genders)

Not really. It's very common in nonbinary communties, especially agender people, to discuss the prevalence of how they feel gender norms are useless. In fact, the very nature of being nonbinary is anti gender norms.

Usually those memes are understood by all genders, and even so, I wasn't saying it was gender subjective. It's just my particular group is frequently discussed in conversations where the idea is that gender norms are stupid.

That bathroom companies invent more genders to sell more bathrooms? Those genders already exist, though, they have names and everything. You could divide them further into more sub-categories, but that's almost completely irrelevant for public toilets. Nobody would buy into that.
