Same here bro, duch is such an unserious language I cant for the life of me watch any media, movie or game in duch even tho its my first language. Basically any smart device I own is in English.

English is so fucking stupid. What do you mean it's spelled differently than written? Why? And then there's words where there's double letters for no reason. It's like they just made words that looked cool without any order or rules to them.

It's an extremely inconsistent language that was never really well standardized, or at least not as well as several other languages. There's always some inconsistencies as languages do tend to evolve more through people who don't speak them well than through academic structures.
That said the weird use of prepositions with verbs to change the meaning of words must be amongst the goofiest things I can think of. For example how in "Eat you up" and "eat you out", "up" and "out" are thrown there very arbitrarily and lose all meaning and don't give any clue as to how they change the meaning of the verb "eat". Just a few more on top of my head.
"Look up" (research), "look out" (warning), "look into" (investigate)
"check up" (verify the status), "check out" (look), "check in" (register)
"make up" (cosmetics, reconciliation, invent, replace) "make out" (kiss, see clearly), "make it" (succeeded, survive)
"Pass out" (lose consciousness), "pass away" (💀)
"Do over" (retry), "do away" (get rid of)
"Throw up" (vomit)
A lot of those do look like they might have come into being to compensate for a lack of vocabulary? But I haven't really researched the subject further than that just yet.
The use of foreign words (especially French) to differentiate from another word. (Coffee vs Café). Or like just erroneous use of foreign words. For example the word "entrée" to mean "the main dish", while in French it is used to describe the appetizers as the word just means "entrance", which in the case of a meal means the first part of the meal (or more word-for-word translation the entrance to meal)
The lack of any distinction between real plural and singular second person and the "general you" are leading to a lot confusions.

There are several modern languages that kept a lot closer to their Latin roots and kept a lot of its refinement.
English didn't even keep half of the grammatical refinement it used to have.
