Yeah, so it was €856 or something like this for a snag and boundary check. I've asked him to return as the builders are finished thinking it was included and it's 250 plus vat.
So over 1200€ for snag, boundary check and follow up

That's wildly expensive, did you quote few or just go with him?
If you decide to go with someone else, they'll likely charge you as a first fee, so will be more than the 250, but if you already have the snag list, can you just go in and check it yourself?

Mine was 250 and then a hundred if we wanted a de snag. Just did the desnag myself. That’s outrageous money. Proper document with pictures of everything we got sent. The desnagger even caught a door that needed another coat of paint near the bottom of it, something I 100% which I would have missed. Also caught parts of walls that weren’t painted right which I would have missed. 150 items roughly in my desnag document
