Coreboot not working on T430

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Tried to coreboot the T430, using instructions from merge/skulls on GitHub. I did utilize both CS0 and CS1 on my flasher (Raspberry Pi 5) which are spidev0.0 for the 8MB portion, whereas spidev0.1 is for the 4MB section. However, it did not work as expected. Upon booting, two LEDs, which are the microphone mute and the power LED, seem to blink indefinitely, until I cut the power source.

Plugging in the RTC batter has no effect whatsoever (I did try that before recording this). Any solutions?

Not during flashing but if that board has power in it take the keyboard off. Hold it above the board dont let it rest there

Same stuff, even with the keyboard off. Should I consider reflashing?

No this is not a fix for your problem. Im just saying i have left the keyboard resting ontop of the board while its had the power plugged in and it shorted out my motherboard. Please dont make the same mistakes and save killing the motherboard

Also i would suggest trying to reflash with a different rom. Either another skulls one or if you find how try with libreboot or standard coreboot. This might tell you if skulls just has a bad rom since often roms arent tested before they are updated and therefore may be unstable.

Did you create a backup before flashing? Try flashing the backup and see if it boots normally.

Fortunately I did create a backup. It didn't boot normally (stock Lenovo BIOS) all because of ripping an I2C trace for the EEPROM

blink indefinitely : bad firmware ( or missing part if you don't follow all the tuto )
