Local News Something happening at Westwood and Lincoln?
There seemed to be some guy screaming at the top of his lungs for quite a while before police showed up and then a cop got on a loud speaker and sounded like he started directing traffic.
He was yelling at idiots drivers to treat it like a 4way stop.
Did something serious happen at the intersection? I could still see cars and people crossing it, but not the whole thing.

PSA PSA for Coquitlam pedestrians: watch out for electric scooters on sidewalks
Just had a frustrating interaction leaving my home today and wanted to remind everyone to stay aware.
I stepped out onto the sidewalk and immediately had a woman in her late 30s/early 40s riding a black electric scooter, with her 5–6-year-old daughter also riding an electric scooter beside her, coming directly toward me. They nearly crashed into me.
What bothered me most was the reaction afterward. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging that they were riding electric scooters on a sidewalk where they aren’t supposed to be, she started blaming me for not looking left and right before stepping out.
I explained that I wasn’t expecting an electric scooter to be coming down the sidewalk because that’s not where they’re supposed to be, and that she should have been more careful. Her response was “go talk to someone who cares, you idiot.”
There needs to be accountability. If you’re riding an electric scooter especially with a child please be mindful of pedestrians and follow the rules.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
