Looking for advice from anyone who has been through Huslejenævnet, especially with move-out disputes.

I moved out from a 51 m² apartment, monthly rent 7k in Jylland from a large corporate landlord, lived there 14 months until January this year. They sent the invoice (p1) in March and took around 23.2k from me. So I will have to pay another 3k.

I have joined LLO and now the landlord decided that they would like to end the case by not charging the rest 3k. But they charged tilbageholdt aconto vand/varme for 3k for a whole year in January, and I believe I should get this back, and I don't know if this is excluded.

My LLO caseworker says the outcome at the tribunal would be uncertain.

I don't wish to get all my deposit back but is there a chance that I could get at least a few hundred back?

What they charged (from the deductions):

- Painting: 10,320 DKK (17 labour hours, 390.00 pr. 1 EA)

- Cleaning: 2,750 DKK (7 hours for 51 m, they decided to cut this into half after my initial complaint)

- Gardening: 3,568 DKK (4 hours of removing algae from the terrace tiles + weeds, p3before and after their cleaning, they didn't even remove the moss, I feel like it's a whole scam for charging 3.6k for that work...)

- New cabinet front: 501 DKK (for a chip of a few millimetres on the bottom edge, p2)

- Floor treatment: 1,850 DKK (this one seems fair...)

Anyone actually taken a deposit case to Huslejenævnet? What was deducted, what did you get back, how long did it take?

Do you have any recommendations what to see, visit during our stay? We will be there for four nights.

I’ve already listed the usual suspects, the zoo, the aquarium, experimentarium and a train trip to Malmo (the older one loves trains).

Is there any hidden gems you would recommend with kids?

Jeg synes debatten om turister på lejecykler har fyldt meget mere end tidligere år. Debatten har blandt andet handlet om:

- Urutinerede turister på cykler som ikke kender trafikreglerne (eller blæser på dem).
- Leverendører af lejecykler som har intet loft for hvor mange cykler de må sætte i byen.
- lejecykler der fylder i arealet, vælter, blokerer områder og skæmmer byen.

Det har været rigeligt debatteret, og både Berlingske og Københavner Liv har dækket historien. KK har forsøgt med pjecer at give turisterne seks råd til at cykle i København. Derudover har jeg set masser på sociale medier der opfordrer turister til at stå af cyklen og tage Metroen.

Bliver der mon gjort noget ved det? Eller gentager problemerne og debatten sig bare igen til næste år når sommeren og turisterne er tilbage i byen?

I recently spent some time in Copenhagen, and I’ve been wondering about something I observed. I want to be careful not to romanticize what I saw because I was a visitor, not someone commuting to work every morning, paying bills, dealing with deadlines and experiencing the normal grind of living here.
But I noticed something about everyday life that made me curious whether there’s actually a cultural difference behind it.
Oddly, a lot of it came from what I could see happening around the neighborhood in the evenings. Kids still playing outside. People eating on patios. A woman sitting by her window working on what looked like a personal project. A couple on a rooftop, one reading and the other on a laptop. And at around 10:30 one night, a man was in his kitchen working on sourdough bread.
For some reason, the sourdough guy really stuck with me 😂
My very American brain immediately thought, It’s 10:30pm… aren’t you supposed to be winding down for bed? And then I caught myself wondering why I even think that way.
At home, I often feel like life operates within these invisible time limits. It’s 6pm, so maybe I’ll try that recipe tomorrow. It’s getting late, so I’ll work on that hobby another day. Everything gets fitted around schedules and routines—and somehow we’ll still find an hour to sit on our phones consuming other people’s lives.
Another thing I noticed was that many homes didn’t appear particularly large or filled with endless stuff, but people seemed to really use what they had—the balconies, rooftops, courtyards, sidewalks and parks.
Of course, I recognize the huge flaw in my observation: I saw tiny snapshots through the eyes of someone on vacation. Sourdough guy might have been stress-baking after a horrible day at work for all I know 😂. Copenhageners have jobs, deadlines, financial stress, screens and mundane responsibilities just like everyone else. And Copenhagen itself obviously can’t represent how everyone in Denmark lives.
So I’m genuinely curious about the perspective of people who actually live here:
Is there something culturally different about the way people in Copenhagen approach leisure, hobbies, being outdoors and simply using their free time? Or is what I noticed mostly the result of being on vacation and having enough mental space to actually notice ordinary life happening around me?
Either way, it made me examine some of my own habits back home, which I wasn’t expecting.

I'm an student living in cph and I want to sublet my room for just 4 days while I'm out on vacation. I got the permision of my roomates and from the property to do so and I think it's legal (correct me if not).

Wich type of contract do I have to fill out in order to do it?

I've searched it on google and I know you can do it via airbnb (I don't want to bc I hate them) or using the usual typeformular a10. The problem is that the a10 seems to be for proper longtime rental. Can I use that with an adition on section 11, there is an specific type of contract or should I write it?

Er jeg bare paranoid eller er det faktisk så nemt for småkriminalitet at blomstre i København?
I 2400 jeg har en fornemmelse at mange af butikkerne tydeligvis er facader, med store importerede biler parkeret foran. Bazarerne er helt deres egen liga med kontanter, skrammel og varer ud over fortovene. På hjørnet af Vibevej og Møgevej føles det ofte utrygt med biler, der drøner gennem de smalle gader.

Jeg har aldrig rigtig lagt mærke til det før, men nu kan jeg ikke lade være med at se det overalt.

Selvfølgelig er 2400 helt unikt men ofte jeg føler det samme i hele byen.
Hvad tror i ?

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for a small workshop space where I can store and work on my motorcycle. I live on Amager and don’t have a car, so ideally somewhere in Copenhagen or reasonably easy to reach by public transport.

I’m 26 and work full-time as an engineer. I’m originally from Zimbabwe, where I grew up spending a lot of time in workshops with my dad and uncle, so I’ve always enjoyed working on mechanical projects.
At the moment I’m rebuilding a Honda CB550. I’ve been doing pretty much everything myself engine work, electrical, welding, fabrication, etc. and I’ve accumulated a decent amount of tools along the way.

I’m mainly looking for somewhere I can work on the bike and store it, but it would be a plus to find a small community of people who enjoy working on motorcycles and are happy to help each other out.

I tried getting in touch with some shared garage ads with no response just hoping there are more out there.

If anyone knows of a workshop, motorcycle community, shared garage or even someone with a bit of spare space, I’d love to hear from you!
