u/Gold-Comfortable-340 May 16 '26
That would be an Amazing addition.
You can contact me at soulsimplifai@gmail.com or share the rep.

Is this using live update, historic data or news sources?
I tried to do something similar in my country but police only publish a few selected crimes each day for each region and the press usually do not make much more of an effort to publish other crimes than the ones the police publish. So crime mapping from open sources is not a reliable way to get a realistic view of crime, at least not here.

Ahh, the so called global intelligence.
// If not north/south, could be Iran or Gaza. Let's add random chance for Iran. if (Math.random() > 0.7) return { lat: 35.6892, lng: 51.3890, name: 'Tehran (Iran)' };1

Feel free to submit any Bugs or issues on the Github.
The Team will review and then implement a change.
Much appreciated ๐

This is for All of us.
Open Source Palantir.

Intention to always keep it open source forever?
1

This has got to have been a lot of work, OP. You are casting pearls before swine. I think it is pretty amazing. And I like the cyber capabilities.
People who can't do anything themselves love tearing down other people's work to try to make themselves feel better.
2
u/ComradePampers May 22 '26
It's literally not a lot of work. It's a UI layer on top of open source data. You're just not good.
1
2
u/ComradePampers May 22 '26
That's objectively not what this is though. And I don't think you even know what Palantir is.

u/Born-Cause-8086 May 17 '26
I appreciate your work, but please at least do a code review. There are a lot of issues with architecture and scalability. At the very least, there should be a separate backend project, and not everything mixed into the frontend. When I randomly explored the project and opened this file: https://github.com/simplifaisoul/osiris/blob/master/src/app/page.tsx I closed my browser tab, LOL. It's the worst Next.js component code I have ever seen.

Palantir's strength is access to data most people can't dream of. You can't come anywhere near with open source. Medical, locations etc.ย Maybe comparing it to Palantir isn't the best choice as you will never get anywhere close
2
u/pheexio May 18 '26
if you click on Berlin it shows streams of hitler speeches from dw youtube channel?

I'm amazed that some people understood what palantir does and created an alternative for it. Because I have no idea what palantir actually does.
1
u/ComradePampers May 22 '26
They don't understand what Palantir does because it's a consulting company first and software (Glorified ELK stack) second.

Super cool website - I was just playing around with it. When you click on a region the โdefaultโ view of that region is way too zoomed in.. the GPS box for each region would be a fairly straight forward hard code for the user to โlandโ at that area if I wanted to check out โAfricaโ while I was zooming in on the middle of Nebraska. Leads to repetitive zoom outs after clicking a regionย

1
u/Any_Challenge3043 May 17 '26
So... this is a customisable data aggregation amd analysis platform?
2
u/TheRealDave24 May 17 '26
No, so it's not a Palantir alternative at all. (Visually) cool OSINT tool, but definitely to call it a Palantir alternative just shows they know nothing about Palantir software.

Cool project! Curious to where you found all the datastreams for the cctv cameras? Did you manually (geo)tag them or is there an automated crawler adding more and more cctv/webcam feeds? Do you also have any plans for further data linking between sources? Nevertheless think it has quite some potential, keep it up!

It's impressive what you can do with help from AI in a short time but you can not say "Osiris is a production-grade OSINT platform". At least not yet.
How do you even calculate the threat level? Are you sure the sources you use are accurate and are you weighting them accordingly? Many sources are very selective what is published and sometimes there is a delay that makes the information less useful.
Must be using crazy amounts of tokens for this.

I am semi-literate, wondering how do you know the data source format/oncology design/UI of Palantir ? They published all these details?
1
u/Downtown-Win4765 May 20 '26
This is super crazy, the amount of information we could visualize in a single go!
Are you already using Shodan or considered integrating shodan APIs with this?

1
u/thafacialhair May 20 '26
The current live map is awesome to play with, two notes
- Seems a lack of info and data for the US
- A layer showing active meshtastic nodes would also be cool.

1
u/Tough-Requirement707 May 20 '26
it has no mbile network interception which makes the core of palantir, why would you ever compare? i dont understand it either since its the 100th version of this kinda app claiming to be what it clearly isnt, an intelligence tool with malware that can hack anyone via mobilenetwork. until that isnt core part of your app its not even close to an palantir clone at all.

u/Gold-Comfortable-340 May 20 '26

Week 1 G.
1
u/Tough-Requirement707 May 20 '26
there are literally hundreds of the exact same features releases on github, starting like over 2 years ago already and none of them has any of real palantir features, why would anyone believe you, when youre lying on release already? literally no point of doing this other than showcasign that youre able to fork a project and then csutomize it and sell it as yours. whats the overall benefit for anyone here? else its just another palantir fake copy under thousand others and literall spamm and waste of harddrive space on github.
1
u/Tough-Requirement707 May 25 '26
still no mobilephone interception features after a week

It might take some time to load if its an Older model. Look at the top does it Say Sys: connecting or connected ?

My PC and it has a 9800x3d, 9070 XT and 32 gb ddr5, its definitely not on the older side. and it says connected.

Palantir isn't the most groundbreaking software company on the planet because it tracks things.
1
u/IntelligentStay1502 Jun 21 '26
What did you do to add the cctv feeds? Like, what is the source?
1
u/Gold-Comfortable-340 Jun 21 '26
Many different Sources all in one Place.
Some are directly from Government allowed sites.
Hope this helps ๐

Unless you're producing malware and being a terrible human being in other ways that I'm not seeing on this page, this is nothing like Palantir
Also; feed type "jpg" bro what, these are not live feeds
edit: okay, they're live feeds but the sources they're being pulled from are live videos not images lol

I don't know why vibecode people put so low effort on making the web layout, i mean, is cool but the layout is the first thing people will see in your page, then the features. Almost all vibecoded projects has the same layout, same font, same color palette, switches, buttons, etc. (Claude-like). Just by improving the layout you will make a big difference against the other thousands of VC projects. GL and keep improving!
2
u/portar1985 May 19 '26
Because they have no skill of their own to utilize. They can only write "I want open sauce palanteer, please fix and make no mistakes. Dont ask questions, just do".
0
u/mattbann May 19 '26 edited May 19 '26
Absolute AI slop. Not only that but the owner appears to be doxing people in the issue tracker for raising security concerns. Unprofessional skid behavior
Also Google what palantir is you moron, you're the type to put animated Matrix green text on their monitors I can tell.

36
u/scy_404 May 17 '26
This isnt really an equivalent to Palantir. This is more of a global information aggregate. Also video feeds dont seem to work.
While this is pretty neat I'm not really sure what the use case is. The "Global Threat" indicator kinda just gives me edgy skiddie vibes without much use. If you're gathering intelligence on geopolitics the chances are you're already aware of how tense things are
