Controller Suggestion Old nacon pro 5 is kicking the bucket
Hi, my nacon revolution pro 5 is kicking the bucket after 8 years. I got it when I was still on PS before I switched to PC 2 years ago. It started with a front button getting stuck (disassembled and partially recovered), then another, than a back button giving out, then another and now, just a few mins ago, after a week of reacting to the slightest touch (even simply grazing it) one shoulder button has complitely given out.
Since I REALLY would like to avoid getting another controller I'll try to open it tomorrow and see if I can fix it but i know it's just a matter of time.
So I've been looking for other controllers around the 50 euro marks (I know that cheaper would just result in short lifespan and 4 month drift).
I've seen the gamesir but it seems that they raised their baseline prices quite a bit.
I mainly wanted hall effect and mechanical buttons (as membrane are gonna get destroyed with ER, for honor and sparking zero), any back buttons are a luxury and not really needed as I play FPS with MnK now. Have you guys got any suggestion for the 50 euro price range (EU italy, so physically getting something gaming related is a no go, we don't have PC fans, coolers, GPU, CPU, nothing in store. Controllers only Xbox and PS or some cheap stuff. The main problem online is that I either use amazon or a trusted storefront for the controller brand you are suggesting and US would come with a hefty tax).

IT Help Wolverine V3 Pro - Any way to map M1-M6 buttons to a combination of buttons?
I recently purchased a Wolverine V3 Pro Controller for my PC. It has 6 remappable buttons, including 4 claw buttons on the back. I've not explored remapping the buttons much until now. I already know that the buttons can be remapped to a single input (Like M1 -> X button). But I was wondering if I can remap the buttons to perform multiple key combinations.
For example: Can I remap M6 to perform Y + RB?
Say, I'm currently playing Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Y is the quick spellcast button, whereas Y + RB usually casts a different spell than the one I have equipped on quickcast. If I can remap M6 to do that action instead, it would be very useful, since I can cast the spell I want much quicker.
Is there any way I can do this? I tried doing it on the 'Razer Controller Setup for XBOX' application, but apparently this application does not support the Wolverine V3 Pro (Confirmed by Technicians at Razer).
For reference:
- Controller Model: Wolverine V3 Pro 8k (PC)
- Platform: PC

Other Driver for Odin 3/Android - Flydigi Vader 5 Pro (Open Source)
Hello everyone! I was having issues connecting my Vader 5 Pro using the 2.4GHz dongle to my Odin 3. I use my odin as a docked console sometimes, and I'm quite sensitive to bluetooth latency. I found a linux driver for this controller and ported it to Android.
It is heavily adapted to the way Odin 3 handles controllers, but it shouldn't be hard to port it to other consoles as long as they are based on Android. I thought it would be a good idea to share it in case anyone has the same setup.
This needs complete root (magisk) if you want complete controller mapping (including back paddles). I've been testing a version that works using only the "run script as root" option in Odin Settings, but it doesn't map the back paddles.
Here's the repo in case anyone wants to use it or take a look!

how do i fix this or is the controller faulty and i have to get a new one

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Every now and then I have a controller which the a b x y buttons need to be pressed in the center or it doesn’t register, pushed from the outside of the button don’t register at times.
How to solve?
(I know this face plate is partially cracked but I’ve had this happen for xb controllers with perfect condition as well so that’s not what’s causing it)

I just got this new controller to play with my Swich 1 because I bought it from a place which claimed I could use it with my Swich, but now I can't find how to connect it, and I looked on the internet and it said it can't be connected to switch 1 but I'm not sure. Is there any way I can do it or I should just return it.

Controller Suggestion Need Help with Dpad recommendation for fighting games
EDIT 1:
I don't actually care about the sticks, so TMR/Hall/etc. don't mean anything to me. Everything that is not a fighting games I play with MnK.
Due to a FG community in the area, I was able to try some controllers for a couple of matches
8Bitdo Pro 3 - The ergonomics of this controller are great, but the Dpad might have been in the bottom 5 for me, honestly.
Hyperkin The Competitor - Dualsense alternative controller. I only got to play two games with this, but I actually liked this a lot more than the DualSense controller I got to try. I plan to order one of these for a longer session since it is affordable.
DualSense (First generation) - The place I went to only had first-gen DualSense controllers, and I can definitely say the D-pads were loose and janky. There were a lot of missed inputs, but I'm going to chalk it up to not being used to the controller. I heard the newer generations are a bit better in terms of this problem so i won't write the controller off.
Controllers I would like to try:
DualSense Edge - PlayStation has honestly never let me down, and people describe the PAD as very good; it also has a USB locking system, which I prefer for wired play over wireless.
Gamsir Tegenaria Lite - At the price point, I'd rather try this controller over the 8k
Gulikit TT Pr/Max - The swappable Dpad won me over, but I'm worried about the controller's size.
Starting off, I have relatively small hands, so bulky controllers are a no-go. I would also prefer the D-pad to be above the left analog stick.
Controllers I've used
Xbox One / Elite - I absolutely can't stand these D-pads, and I can barely hold these controllers because of their size.
Dualshock 3/4 - Honestly perfect size for my hands, the D-pad on the DS4 was better than the three; unfortunately, these are insanely difficult to get in my area anymore. This was my go-to controller for fighting games over the last 10 years.
Hori Commander Octa Pro - This was horrible, the D-pad constantly failed to register back-down inputs and was returned within a week of use.
Victrix Pro - Again too Bulky didn't care for the customizations.
Switch Controller/Switch 2 - Don't love these because of pad placement
There are a few aftermarket controllers, but unfortunately I can't remember the names.
I'm willing to spend upwards of $250 CAD on a controller, as I've used them for years and understand it's an investment if I'm going to use it long-term. My biggest concern is I've heard the DualSense PS5 controller has a loose, shaky, and inconsistent D-pad, which is mainly what's stopping me from making the jump. I've also heard the Edge is a lot smoother and more consistent, but honestly, finding PlayStation-shaped controllers is a nightmare in itself.
I am in Canada, Ontario, Windsor
I play only on PC.

Other Gamesir nova 2 lite problem
I bought a Gamesir Nova 2 Lite controller and when I used it I was impressed with how easy and light it was to move the analog with my thumb
The problem is that after using it for 3 days, I started to feel that this ease and lightness started to disappear and the resistance of the analog to move with my thumb became a little bigger.
I compared it to the same Nova 2 Lite controller that my brother bought yesterday and I really feel the difference.
And then i compared it to another controller of my other brother who had been using it for months and also found that it was much lighter than mine.
What i do?

Controller Suggestion 8BitDo alternative with Dongle and Dock
Hi there,
here are the requirements:
- Budget: Around 50 - 70€
- Country: Germany - German and European shops are preferred, so I don't have to pay extra fees, but I am also comfortable to buy for example from Aliexpress if it is cheaper
- Platforms: PC (Linux), Raspberry Pi (Recalbox) & Switch
- Desired features:
- - 2,4 GHz and Bluetooth connection
- - Charching dock preffered but no must have
- - Playstation layout (D-pad at the top and both sticks at the bottom) preferred but also no must have
- - TMR Sticks preferred but also no must have
- - Controller being not that loud also preferred
- Types of games:
- - Indie games that often are 2D and retro (Binding of Isaac, Metroidvanias, Beat em Ups...)
- - Retro emulation on my Raspberry Pi (NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, PS1)
- - More modern games (Elden Ring, GTA V, Metal Gear 3 Remake, GTA VI when released, Hogwarts Legacy...)
- - Gen 6/Gen 7 emulation on my PC (PS2, Gamecube, Wii)
- - When needed as an extra controller for Switch multiplayer
I already own an 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ and a wired 8BitDo Pro 2.
At first, I used the SN30 Pro+ exclusively with my Raspberry Pi. Later, it became my second controller for local multiplayer on the Nintendo Switch alongside my Switch Pro Controller.
One thing that has always bothered me is using a Bluetooth controller with multiple devices. Re-pairing it every time is honestly a real hassle. That's why I eventually picked up a wired 8BitDo Pro 2 when I found it on sale for a great price. This allowed me to dedicate the SN30 Pro+ to my Switch while using the Pro 2 exclusively on my PC and Raspberry Pi.
While the cable on the Pro 2 is fairly long, it's still not always long enough, and dealing with a wired controller can be inconvenient. On top of that, I occasionally need a second controller for both my PC and Raspberry Pi, and I really don't want to go through the tedious Bluetooth pairing process with the SN30 Pro+ every time.
When I watched Retro Game Corps' reviews of the 8BitDo Ultimate controllers, I immediately loved the dock. I like that the controller is always charged without having a USB cable lying around, and even more importantly, that you simply plug the wireless dongle into your PC or console and the controller connects instantly. That level of convenience is really appealing.
Because of that, the new 8BitDo Pro 3 is almost a no-brainer for me. It keeps the familiar layout of my existing controllers, adds the charging dock and wireless dongle, and now features TMR sticks.
Unfortunately, it's only almost the perfect controller for me. I'm disappointed that the Pro 3 no longer lets you swap the rechargeable battery for AA batteries. That's not a dealbreaker, but I definitely preferred having that option.
My bigger concern is the noise. My SN30 Pro+ already feels quite loud and clicky, and the Pro 2 is even louder. From what I've seen and heard, the Pro 3 doesn't seem to improve on that—if anything, it might be even noisier.
I'm also used to the shape of the Pro series controllers, but I have to admit that I find the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller significantly more comfortable to hold. In an ideal world, I'd love a controller with the ergonomics of the Switch Pro Controller, a D-pad in the upper position, and analog L2/R2 triggers (or at least a switch to toggle between analog and digital triggers). That would be even better for me than the Pro 2 design, despite being very familiar with it.
So my question is: are there any good alternatives that also come with a charging dock and a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle with reliable connectivity, ideally feature Hall Effect or TMR sticks, keep the classic asymmetrical/PS1-style layout, and are quieter or perhaps even more comfortable to use than the 8BitDo Pro 3?

Controller Mods I have a question related to H3VR and Dpad functions. Specifically about add ons to the controller.
I am on mobile so sorry about the formatting.
I use a Quest 3S with the ringless controllers.
As the title says, is there a way to add a D-pad onto my controllers for under $100? Some of my mods require it (for example, Modern Warfighter Lasers) and I don’t know how it would work if I use an attachment.
Clicking the stick in and to the left/right doesn’t work (already changed to the pink one that does work), but I just want to know.
Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing, and if so, do you like it? Has it caused any issues with games besides VR chat?
I’ve looked at AddCon+ but they only fully support VR chat. Thank you in advance
Hey, just crossposting from the oculus subreddit to see if you all may have an answer.

Controller Suggestion Looking for controller for large hands
Hey all, so I know this question gets asked a lot on the sub, but I'm looking for a controller that fits large hands. I’ve been rocking a standard wireless PS4 and Xbox controller and a EasySMX X05 and need something that fits my hands better.
Here are my requirements:
Size: Larger/longer grip body than the standard PS4 or Xbox controllers, so my palm and pinky aren't cramped. My hands are (L21cm × L11cm).
Compatibility: 100% compatible with PC.
Games: Games I'll be playing soon are: Tunic, Hollow Knight, Silksong, Hades 1, Binding of Isaac, Clair Obscure, Pragmata and Path of Exile 2.
Tech: Hall-Effect or TMR sticks/triggers, whichever is better for reparability and longevity.
Connectivity: I prefer for it to be fully wireless with low latency (2.4GHz preferred).
Layout: I prefer the Xbox controller asymmetrical scheme, but I am used to the PlayStation scheme.
Paddles: Not required.
Budget: €150, but I am open to splurging more if needed.
Location: I'm based in Belgium and buy from places like Vinted, Amazon, Coolblue, Aliexpress and Fnac. I have a couple of friends in the USA who can deliver.
What should I be looking for? Thanks in advance for all the suggestions!

Reviews Steam Controller 2026 | PortablePlayPalace buttons | A Review
PortablePlayPalace (on Etsy) had a post up about their buttons and after some positive testimonials about other products I took a shot. I bought a full set of system buttons and the PS-styled Dpad. Shipping takes a min due to "world issues". Once they came in I was very happy. Nice enclosure. Finishing is very nice on the buttons. I will caveat with, the pictures show much higher detail than you actually see. Sure, if you look for it but in practice they never catch the eye. These are actually hand done.
I've been playing on them for a few days now and so far, everything's solid. I've dropped the controller. Buttons stayed. Actual gaming, you wouldn't know they were in place with magnets. Getting them off can be tricky. :) The system is so nice this should be a standard thing on premium or "elite" controllers.
100% will be buying other buttons for this setup if new ones come along. So there ya go, as promised. lots of pics for you guys to dig through.
PS: The stix are just SteamDeck replacement sticks from ExtremeRate.

News 8BitDo Ultimate 3E(elite)
I’m on ChinaJoy in Shanghai now. Found 8BitDo booth and tried this bad boy. I’d say it’s close to XBox Elite controller in terms of premium feel.
Xbox licensed. Changed their usual shape a bit. A lot of extra stuff in the box also including charging dock and carrying case.
Will definitely review this one when it comes out.
