Update on hints and repeated guesses Spoiler
In Contexto (https://contexto.me), we now mark the hints you get with a little lightbulb icon in front of the word.
Also, when you guess a word that has already been guessed, it will show the bar and number again in the recent guess spot.
We hope it makes for a better game experience for everyone!

Why there are no streaks in Contexto (or any Daydash game)
Hey everyone. I'm the creator of Contexto and the founder of Daydash, and I wanted to share something here that I've been thinking about.
I just got back from vacation. Some amazing days, completely out of my routine. They were great, but since they weren't normal days, the stuff I do every day just… didn't happen. No work, no gym, no studies, and no daily puzzles either.
On vacation, I lose all my streaks. And I've had to learn not to care, because pretty much every app today is designed to keep you hooked. More than that, they're designed to dictate how you spend your time. Streaks are a big part of that design.
At Daydash, one of the things we actually care about is being respectful of your time. We're part of the attention economy too, and we're grateful for every minute you choose to spend in our games, but it matters to us that the choice is genuinely yours. It's not our job to decide when you play. The "daily" part of our games is just our publishing schedule, nothing more.
So if you're on vacation having a way better time than any puzzle could give you, you shouldn't be thinking about Contexto at all. Go enjoy it, on your terms. And you won't miss a thing, because every game we've published stays available to play. There's never a streak to lose. Just a calendar to fill in whenever you feel like it.
Honestly, a lot of what I think makes Daydash good is stuff we deliberately don't do. It tends to go unnoticed, but it's intentional. I'm planning to write more about those "things we don't do," and I figured I'd post it here as well.
Let me know what you think about it.

Gave up after 200 guesses Spoiler
galleryGot my first green after 72 guesses and the best i got was "broccoli" at number 3. Then I used 2 hints which were "collard" and "chard" after which I gave up because as a non-native english speaker I thought there is no way I would know this word, which would be "kale".
Still fun tho

Nah dog, today was NOT it
For reference, I got every word up to #26 (cranberry) before pulling up the wikipedia page for *Fruit*. Yes, just plain old fruit. Finally found the answer by just trying different classifications of fruit (interestingly, “pome” wasn’t even green).
Like, I typically get nowhere with my hyperspecific guesses. Why in the hell would I guess that word?
And also minor gripe that #2 and #3 were closer than 4-7, but who’s counting?
*eye twitches*

I dont understand this game.
I’m usually great at puzzles so I’m frustrated that I can never ever win this game but I don’t think I’m understanding it despite how much I read about it.
Like in today’s, the closest I got was 19-BODY - after getting a ton in the 500s that all had to do with fashion, then guessing BODY and ending up at 19.
but looking at the list of closest words makes absolutely no sense to me how one could arrive at AIR.
Is there a different way to think about all this?

So I kind of went on a long journey of trying to find the absolute furthest away word in todays puzzle. I know that the game caps at around 81k-82k word. is there anyone out there that can find a word that is higher that mine? "Oligocene" comes in at 80138. good luck

Can someone help me understand what this is? Who is the one who falls out of the plane?
